V1.1 Changes:
- You don't have to enter passwords anymore to start off where you left off. It's optional.
- Level 2's background is slower.
- Slight physics tweak.
- Slight collision detection improvements.
- Jukebox is fixed.

This is the first Actionscript 3 game I worked on, and was programmed 100% by me. It was a school project which the teacher loved, so I hope you like it to. More games by me are on the way. This isn't the best game, but hopefully not the worst!

This is based on the Klungo Saves Teh World minigame in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. I did my best to mimic the physics and add expand upon the the concept. It's also the reason why the graphics are so poorly done, had to stick to the style!

This game is trial and error, so learn from your mistakes! Avoid the enemies by jumping over them, or if you have a special ability present, kill them dead! Make sure not to fall in the pits either! With learning from your mistakes, you can beat all eight levels. This game is NOT for everyone, especially those that are quick to judge!

RIGHT: Throw Potion (If you have any)
UP: Chainsaw (If you have one)
CONTROL: Breathe Fire (If you have ability)
SHIFT: Set quality

Earn Six Unofficial Medals that unlock secret passwords! They're not official NG medals, because well... Anyway if I ever do get official medals, you won't have to do the tasks over again to unlock them. That's the beauty of local flash cookies.

It also has a minigame where you burst balloons, and a jukebox to listen to your favorite 8-bit tracks from this game.

If positioned and timed right, you can avoid death by quickly pushing the space bar, it doesn't always work though.

If positioned right, you can "Die" twice by jumping at the right time at the edge of an enemy.
If under an enemy, jump up, watch Klungo fly towards the air!

If you jump right before winning, you can watch Klungo fly forward!
If you die and hit the flagpole, you still win!
Simply put, they're not glitches. They were put in the game on purpose, because it looks funny!

PM me if you encounter a glitch and I'll probably be able to take care of it.

Its good but...

Your hitTest() isn't the best. As an example why: You die if you come within 4px of the enemy you die.

The music wasn't bad, the idea is good, but seriousy.... password saves?!?!

I never played the original, but this game is quite fun. I like the simplicity yet difficulty of it. Some criticism:

-The background on the wild west level hurts my eyes. Scrolling it so fast like that is a bad idea.

-Using Control as a key is a bad idea. Sticky keys for the lose. You should have just used "xcvb" for the power ups.

-It's a bit short.

-And lastly, the thing that keeps you from getting a 9, gay password saving system! Seriously, just save with local cookies. Passwords may be retro, but it's NOT a feature worth keeping. (If you want to emulate it, then just have the password listed in the game once you unlock it but still make the player type it in.)

Some of the impacts are a little off (was getting killed by some things that weren't even touching me), but that's no more than a minor complaint.

I like this little tribute you've got here, mate.

If you tried to make a retro game ,its okay, if not it sucks.
