Author's Response:
1. It's clear that i've overthought the plot, mostly because this spent so much time being a story in my head. There are two parallel universes brought about by the choice the man makes about either continuing upwards in the lift or allowing the woman to choose, and she needs to go down. I basically showed what would happen if they go up, and if they go down. Essentially, some things can't be changed, i.e. the blond still jumps because of the guilt of his having an affair with his friend's wife. Haven't you ever been in a situation when something happens and you can't help but wonder if it would have panned out differently had you done something else? Well the thing that changes is, the man and woman end up together, or they don't. And you can learn something along the way. But there are lots of things you just can't change. That's all i was trying to get at. Next time i'm gonna try and think up a plot much less complicated, see if i can get some voice acting and if anyone i know get write a score. this is my first flash with a plotline and all so i'm still getting everything together.
2. the butterfly effect is chaos theory, which basically means everything is connected, actions lead to various consequences i think the quote is something about a butterfly flaps its wings on one side of the world so there's a hurricane on the other. or something. it's also a really good film starring ashton kutcher.
