"Great backstory"
Minesweeper does get old after a while, so the backstory on this helps keep it interesting. Graphics look great and the sounds are good too. Not too sure what the yellow and green orbs (stars?) do. Good effort.

"Whats with the ads?"
I really cant give this a high score with all the pop-up ads in the way. Whats with the ad at the very start? No bueno my man, no bloody good. I mean, the game works, its okay seeing how is pretty much mine sweeper. (As you admitted) Yet the whole pop up ads throw me off. It really just seems like the game is an excuse to push advertisement.
Not feeling it.
