The jumping has no purpose and the cannon room seems pointless but I think the message is that you will be free when you let go of the past and listen to your heart? I really don't get the purpose that well.

I hate to give such poor ratings, but I really got no pleasure from the experience. I think you did put some effort into it, but not exactly enough. I understand that there is supposed to be a message, one that is still very well hidden to me, but personally I don't think that makes up for the rest of the game. If I were to try to make the game a more enjoyable one, I would allow the option of some obstacles to jump over or something to do. I think that this game is simply lacking a lot. I give it a two for the effort.

The impression I get from this is that it was meant to be some form of surrealist piece. You've got messages throughout the "interactive animation", but even with all the pieces of the puzzle, it still isn't clear what overall message you're trying to convey.
The "animation" itself was, for lack of a better description, chunky. It's okay to have your character walk slow, but you need to make it look and feel right. The audience will be less frustrated with the slow pace if they have something pretty to look at while they wait. Also, why did you include a jump function if there was no practical purpose for it?
Reading through the other reviews I've seen "drawings are opinions and opinions can conflict with one another" used more than once. Having to use that defense at all, let alone often, should be an indication that something isn't quite up to scratch. It all looks to have been drawn with a mouse. Even if that was your artistic goal, that still doesn't make it good, or even acceptable. Even if poor artwork is meant to be an expression of some sort, you need to demonstrate good artwork before people will understand.
Your choice of music alright. It played clearly, and it fit with the slow pace. The only problem was that it ended well before I was finished the game, leaving me playing in silence for a time. The other sounds in the animation simply didn't fit.
Overall, a very poor effort. Making an artistic animation is difficult and to do it well, you must show some artistic prowess. People aren't immediately going to just "get" your message. You need to provide them with something that draws them in and invites them to find a message. This doesn't provide that.

I see that this is definitely not all about the engine or the graphics, proven by the other reviews before mine. It's more about the messages and symbolisms of certain events and objects. Unfortunately, not many will get it, myself included...^^;
Still this stands as proof that you could have one meaningful animation/game if you improve on certain things. =)
First of all I would like to say, you have great music, I thought I was lucky to find something so good, and something that went so smoothly for the idea I had for my game.
Second of all, thanks for the review, it proves that this game/whatever this really is succeeded in it's purpose. As for not getting it though, I can't help you with that. Different people understand different things, right?

I really like the idea and the music, but I think you might want to work a little on presentation.
if this was a demo, then great, I can see this turning in to a really great game; if not, then you might want to use some more time nixt time you create a game
