First off the animation is huge, it's 12 megs big, so it'll take awhile to load. If you don't have the patients for that, then um... go watch something else. Something less insultingly huge. Perhaps a video involving cats, or excessive violence.

Well, here it is. The Legend of Link, Episode II: Oh Yes And Spiders.

You can find the opening theme music used in the animation at the m website, and the rest of the music over at http://ghostfacekilobyte.

It only took me forever to make it, and it required the help of dozens upon dozens of other talented people.

Also the first quarter or so of it is up on youtube. tch?v=WLtkxAPgkIA but it ends telling people to go to newgrounds to see the rest.

The Legend Of Link is a pixel art animation, made almost entirely with frame by frame animating.

Enjoy please.

Also, if you bother watching the whole thing (it is very long) Do watch all the credits, as many people other than me helped with this, most of them without newgrounds accounts and their effort disserves a moment of your time.

Updatey thing ---

Thanks to people who watched it. Thanks for front page. Though it's probably down now as clock day I'm sure has presented billions of frontpage worthy entries.

Especially thanks to everyone who gave all those really... really complimentary reviews. They creep me out but are very nice.

I do not thank those of you that hated the animation, but I do respect you. Especially those that reviewed it and said what they disliked. You're wrong of course, but I respect you.

--end updatey thing.

--Another updatey thing

I'm... back on the front page. That was unexpected.

Not that I mind. Whoever did that I thank them with all my little heart. It was kind of you.

--end updatey thing.

pretty funny, but...

is this supposed to be based off that horrible excuse for a cartoon? if you're a real zelda fan, you shouldn't even acknowledge it's existence. and dudelis, the CD-i was just as bad as that cartoon if not worse, yes. but that doesn't diminish the Suckiness of the cartoon at all. to tell the truth I'm not sure wich is worse but...

ANYWAY, im getting off topic. this flash is funny, but it doesn't match the story at all.

yes Zelda has a father
yes he is king
yes Zelda is indeed a PRINCESS

the TRIforce-thats three- are all YELLOW

and Gannon is not a pig, thats only his untamed worrior monster form for battles

This Flash does have some funny moments and its good animation, but the story is WAY too inaccurate

Emptygoddess responds:

The flash video is way to inacurate a version of a sesries that reinvints itself every two or three games completly revamping the world and story as the creator sees fit?

Infact origionaly there was only one triforce, it was probably called that becuase it was a tryangle shape.

Mr pig was indeed a pig, that's the name of the pig, gannononondorfs (or however it's spelled) is how he's refered to when he's not a pig. So if he's a pig, wouldn't he be called gannon?

And of course zelda has a father, unless... what if the triforce gave birth to her?! Or maybe the tirforce is her baby. Her tiny beautiful triforce baby.

Then they can go off and solve crime together! Zelda and triforce baby! in a pento!

The moral of the story is, you're right. I really should keep up with every single game and attempt to make something that keeps within every single one of them. It's the only way I'll ever be whole.

Holy hell that was long. When I saw "14 hour production" I was expecting something maybe two minutes long. But this kept going and going. There's not that many decently made sprite animations anymore, much less those with token video game characters. I was very pleased to watch this and I enjoyed it greatly.

Emptygoddess responds:

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm sorry that the name of the made up production company gave you the wrong impression.

I love to see well-made sprite animations. The fact that this gave off such a strong, professional vibe is amazing. I never expected to find such an outstanding sprite flash on the Internet. The humor was amusing and I was constantly entertained with the changing scenery and different characters. The voice acting was great, although some of the voices were a bit soft for my laptop's built-in speakers. If I was a decent sprite artist, I would absolutely love to contribute; however, I do not possess any talent in that field.

If you would like an extra head to think of some ideas for a future animation (if you are considering producing one), I would love to help.

Emptygoddess responds:

Sorry about the sound levels. I tried. I failed. The world wheeps.
