*** Sorry guys, I had to fix some bugs people were having problems with - the game is back now! ***

One of the first computer games I've ever played as a kid, was a game called Saboteur 2 on the good old Commodore 64. Sure, if you look at Saboteur now, it doesn't really compare, but it has a certain charm and atmosphere about it, that no other game has been able to replicate for me. To this day, I find the c64 to be a huge source of inspiration when creating my games. Ninjufo was a tremendous amount of fun to work on and I had a blast going all 8-bit with the art/design. I hope you guys enjoy playing the game as much as I loved working on it!

Ode to Saboteur II!

Kudos to you! I too loved Saboteur II, and I can clearly see the inspiration. But you've got a great game here on its own. Great artwork (love the black silhouette map, very Saboteur ;)), great atmosphere, not least from the abstract ambient bg music. Great variation in puzzles/rooms too. The entire experience is well tied together.

You've made me want to drop down from the old hang glider again...

Nice game

I enjoyed it so much that I made a rough map and figured out the fastest path through the level (or at least a fairly fast path--there might be a different path that's a little faster). Then I played until I finished with no deaths, giving me the current all time high score 12,737 (not counting the one guy who hacked it to get 19,166).

I liked how you made the bounding boxes forgiving so that you don't get hit unless you really get hit. The only way to improve this game would be to make it bigger or add more levels and enemy types.

Ninjadoodle responds:

Awesome work on the score! Haha, I remember when I was a kid, we used to have to make maps for a lot of the games we played. I especially remember the huge map of Saboteur 2 that somebody made and send to the C64 mag - Zapp64. It had something crazy like 500 screens!
I'm really happy you guys enjoyed my game so much. Like I said before, I'm definitely planning a sequel with a lot more features :)
