Hmm well that was differant, it was very short but the {GRAPHICS} were very good even in Black and white, allthough you should add some {COLOR} maybe just abit here and there just a few focus points, of color, this film had a whole german feel to it though, i do like your characters and the music was very german sounding guess that was the idea, but really it was ok, so how can you improve on this one? well for one you can make this longer, more of a story, and more differant scenes then what you had, but again for what it was it was notbad, anyways good luck on anything new you got going on.

Eh, I've seen better

This was interesting for a really short cartoon but there was not much else to recommend. I liked how you put it in the style of an old black and white thing. I think that was what movies were the time that Rasputin was alive himself. I could not quite understand the joke with the shaved beard. This seemed to be something Russian, but the words appeared to be done in French. Still, it was a bit unique.

I find it odd you would want this to be in the "Noir" section. Apart from the black and white usage, I didn't see how it was much of a noir. In fact, I don't even think there were many noirs that were also silent films. It was interesting how even the advertising in this was black and white! The animation was good, it just needed more action.

That's probably the best written piece of yours that I've seen - the way that the beards are shown at different lengths and Jethro getting given a new beard from what appears to be a cut-throat razor, dripping with blood.

Of course, these things are never meant to last and in return for supplying him with what he wants the most, the peasant Jethro embraces communism (the sickle). This then leads to the symbolic downfall of the workers, as USSR communism was as flawed a concept as an ice cube dispenser in hell (How would they get the power to the damned thing?!)

But alas, the lure proves too much for Rasputin (Please tell me that was he) and so communism claims yet another scalp and the USSR fell, derailing the communism that was seeded there by Stalin and Lenin.

A simple animation that really hits hard.
