The second game ever playable in Swahili. Dubbed in English AND Japanese. This is a turkey the size of the Titanic. Incidentally it's also playable in Turkish.

Big thanks to all voice actors and translators (especially the ones I found here at NG!).

Original music by Khuskan.

Game play was horribly stiff and slow but I think you were going for the joke of death more than anything. I liked it, and kept on continuing. :P

Game or movie? Make a choice.

If you want to make a game, make a game. This weird bastard of a hybrid you've introduced here is either a movie that you have to fail at a game in order to access or a game that requires a hard reset in order to continue after a mistake. Neither possibility is remotely appealing.

Don't get me wrong, both your game and your movie are very good, but each one is so detrimental to the other that the final product is not the least bit enjoyable.

My suggestion: introduce two play modes. In the one, the character is automatically shown entering the castle and dying to some random hazard. The movie sequence then shows and everyone can have a good laugh about it. In the other, the player controls the character through the castle and has a real continue option upon defeat. The player can then progress through the castle and enjoy a conclusion to the challenge they have just overcome.

As a postscript, jumping felt very awkward. He never seemed to move as far as I would have expected him to.

Now that was rather silly and unfortunately it seems like exactly the same concept as Free Will. Really funny though.

raitendo responds:

well, not _exactly_ but the idea for Free Will sprung out of this game and yeah the themes are definitely similar and partially overlapping

Great and all.

It's so awe-inspiring that you created an entire game just to show the ridiculousness of the idea of continuing after death. Bringing realism into games is a fantastic way of deconstructing the genre, and this is pulled off very nicely. I would have liked to see more of the game you made, but hey. You only live once. Way to prove your point! I'm quite a fan of these games that subvert the idea of what a game is supposed to be. I subtract a point from the maximum due to the sense of frustration I got by the end. While that is the point of the game, I still found it annoying. I'm one of those people who never gives up. EVER. That's why I don't like it when something tells me I can't keep trying. Anyway, great idea.
