First, I hate this song now for the simple fact that I have heard it over, and over, and over, for over a year now.
My roommate and I heard this song, and got an idea of what if during the course of this song you see
a guy hitting a figure who looks like a girl, but really is just a clown punching balloon. I created a storyboard for this idea and the first half was a guy hitting this figure, then the second half would show that the figure was the balloon and that the guy was a handicap.
After I started animating the first half,I liked it so much that I just kept going with it and scrapped the idea of the balloon. I had an idea of the first guy you see isn't really the one causing the problems, but is the old boyfriend of the girl and he is trying to warn her of her new boyfriend.
I got a little inspiration from the RockToons2 Video. I think he did an awesome job creating his animation and it gave me the idea to go in this direction of my video. I just used some simple character designs for the storyboard, but they worked well enough that I used them in the final animation.
I tried to have a little more fluid movements then in my previous animations, but I lack the skills. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it, even though at times I cursed the animation the hell!
