Welcome to the Megabus Megaride!

Play against your friends or against the computer to deliver passengers to their destinations! You get points for picking up passengers and Sid's hats but lose them when you drive badly or collide with obstacles.
Can you become a "Superstar Driver" on the Megabus?

=========================
DRIVER TRAINING
=========================

- Use the up and down arrows keys to accelerate/decelerate your bus. Use the left and right arrow keys to steer.
- Along your journey, drive over hats to score points. Try to grab as many as you can!
- Each hat you collect will add a passenger to the next stop. Don't forget to stop your bus to pick them up!
- Avoid roadside obstacles. Each one you hit will reduce your overall score!

Remember, the fastest driver won't always win - picking up passengers is a vital part of any successful journey. Good luck!

interesting premise, not for everyone tho

It's an interesting idea, but it's just a little bit dull. the artwork reminds me of those little people i used to play with when i was like three years old, and the fact that obstacles and tickets that are supposed to come towards you suddenly decelerates out of seemingly nowhere gives the world a fish-eye look (there were times i coulda sworn i avoided stuff, but it registered that i didn't =P). the music is also really bland, and doesn't seem cool enough for a racing/strategy game. now if it were bus drivers in road rage, or trying to avoid people infected with rage virus, now THAT'S pretty tight. otherwise, it seems like only people instructing drivers' ed or your brother who just got his drivers' license would like it. that doesn't mean that the game is HORRIBLE, though; it really does have an interesting premise, and i could see a lotta racing games copy-catting your formula later on, just with a different skin. if i were you, i'd monopolize on this idea and make it more something that the majority of people on NG would wanna play.

Thanks very much for the detailed review. Megabus is a family brand which is why you may have noticed it's designed to appeal to children as well as adults so I'm not sure about the Rage virus! :)

We appreciate all the comments.

I like it

Its a decent basic game, yeah its got a feeling of retro to it but if you've ever been on a real life mega bus you feel like you've been thrown back a few years anyway. My Score is influenced by my nostalgic feeling of travelling Dundee Glasgow and Glasgow Manchester on Ye Olde Shega Bus

willcheng responds:

Ah so you took the Glasgow route? Thanks very much for the review.

Hmm... not bad...

Well, I have to say it isn't the greatest thing out there, it does act as a good distraction. The only thing that got on my nerves was the steering and the obstacles. Far too many obstacles on the road and the steering was too much of a hassle...!

willcheng responds:

Thank you for the review. Was it the single player you played (against computer) as there's loads more fun to be had on the routes in the multiplayer game! We appreciate your feedback.

Oh so bad...

It is like a 1980's really bad corporate promo and the music *shudder* Is like the stuff you used to get on collage enrolment videos. The game engine is clunky and the steering is more super tanker than bus. I've been on a Megabus and I 'know' they can turn a damn sight sharper than that.

All in all a bad promo looking to see a click count :(

No stars for you...

willcheng responds:

Thanks for the review. Sorry it wasn't for you. Of course a huge amount of work has gone into creating a multiplayer game with a choice of routes. The sound is easy to switch off if it doesn't work and we're pleased to have created a racing game with a big difference, i.e stopping to collect passengers. Would welcome more reviews. We try to respond to them all.
