Great Game Again!
Nothing new as far as building stuff goes, but great additions in the sidequests! I'm rating this as a game add-on rather than a whole new game.
By the way, in the defensive missions don't forget to build a repair station. You can get away with less defense if you heal the object in between waves (and during assaults too). Another quick tip: Any level 1 structure can be recycled for the same price you built it for, so you can never build too many level 1 miners. Also, level 1 solar stations cost 200 and give 30%, level 2's cost 200 more and give 40% more, level 3's cost 200 more and only give 30% more again. It is a good strategy to build only level 2 solar collectors.
I like how they swarm on you the game is not hard. It's alot easier than the first i think
Much Better + Simple Tutorial
I loved the first one, but I like the new one even more. The defending missions might be hard for someone so I took a picture of a station structure that really helped me, only one time during the first defensive mission I lost all power, but that was my first go at it with this method so it can probably be used on the higher difficulties with a little refining. It is a two pronged system with 7 completely upgraded energy stations with 6 fully upgraded pulsar turrets near the gate and 6 THEL turrets spread out on the right side of the screen. The only annoying thing is the way the THELs waste energy on fighters, but I'm sure it is possible to just move the level 2 energy station I have out side of the structure and plant some proximity pulsar's to take out the smaller enemies. I might try that out. Here is picture of the final seconds after my first try with this system.
difficulty scaling sucks
i get really sick of games that have an "easy" mode that's still difficult.
logicaly "easy" should mean easy. it shouldn't simply mean "easy compared to hard"
but "easy" should DEFINITELY mean doable.
But it got so, motherloving hard at points.
