I am a large fan of point n click games / Room escape games and have played hundreds. Yours, however, outright beats them all. The detailed graphics and ambient background music makes the game very enjoyable while the plot makes me interested in how the game develops throughout each one in each series. I remember the awesome feeling that went up and down my spine when I first played "Submachine1" and how excited I got when you made the Extended version. I remember how kick ass it felt to play a brand new submachine game and how awesome the plot was. I remember how much I got into DayMare Town, trying to collect every single coin and beating it 100%.
So anyway, I am going to try and write a detailed review of all the games you have made so far. I hope you reply, I just want you to know that many people like me absolutley LOVE your games, but the reason it has a low score is because it is fairly difficult for the ole' noggin to digest. It requires critical thinking skills that many just dont care to try to use on an online game. Plus, they dont realize how hard it is to draw such an intense environment that your games have. So enough of the introduction, here is the REVIEW.
This game was not as good as the rest of them because it got rid of the feeling that you were the only one in the entire universe, the creepy feeling that Submachine gives you. Not one single person is seen, yet in this one more than 10 are who just stand there looking at you.
This one also did not have very much item finding which posed no challenge for me. I was hoping to see more of what happened from Covert Front 2, but not much was revealed. I hope that you put back the mysterious atmosphere present in the rest of your games. Ohh man I cant wait until you make your next submachine.
So I am giving you a 9 out of ten because you failed to please us who crave that mysterious atmosphere. Good luck on your future games.
I'm kind of a fan of point and click adventures, but i usually enjoy much more the ones with a far less serious atmosphere. This series of yours, though, has been very entertaining to me. I really like the artwork, and the puzzles have always been hard but not frustrating. This time around i found them somewhat easier than the previous installments. The sounds are always fitting, and now we also get to see the story move faster than before, which is, in this case good. It gives a good pace with the fact that kara is being chased by that butler-guy.
Now, i'll patiently wait for spark of life.
