After successfully completing the first mission, our hero is now sent to an abandoned military camp, again overrun with Zombies. With more firepower, ranks and skills to unlock this time you should have no problems...

Hope you enjoy the game!

Edit: Guys, to clarify how the game works. You do not need to pay for anything to play the game. When you die, if you play again from the start you will keep your experience and unlock skills like fast reload or red dot sight etc. Every time you play however, you have to unlock new areas and guns again as part of the core gameplay.

If you want the ability to continue the same game after dying, or purchase any of the super guns to make the game easier, then you can.

This is a game trialing a beta version of a new system. If you like the game, great - if you don't then don't make it about the payment system, it should be irrelevant.

Cheers

I can't get enough of this game. It's fun and has a decent amount of weapons. The sentry guns really help out. But even with them, you easily get overrun.

Look, Ninja Kiwi, I love ya. You made Bloons, Hotcorn, and the first SAS Zombie Assault. You make great games. WHY DID YOU ADD THAT GOD DAMN MOCHIGAMES THING!?

I mean, god damn, a perfectly good game down the shitter, because I had to sign up with some douchebags who would only send me Viagra ads just to make any decent progress in the game. It wasn't as much of a problem in Bloons Tower Defense 4. Here, you can only use the pistol for so long, the zombes get too powerful, too fast, and I can't keep up with them, unless I sign up with some shitty website. WHY, NINJA KIWI, WHY!?

Aside from the aforementioned issues, it was a good game. It was a little constricted, but the rest is just like the original, but with better graphics. If it weren't for that damn MochiGames crap, it would get 10/10. So, it gets a 5 and 2.

You brought this upon yourself.

"Good game ruined by a payment system."

date: November 11, 2009

It's a really good game, I enjoyed it a lot. But, I don't want to sign up to ANYTHING in order to just simply save my exp progress. I don't care so much about continuing as I do about the experience levels. I can't enjoy a game that doesn't save any of my progress unless I divulge info to a third party ad spammer.

MochiGames is a cancer that's killing Newgrounds and free flash games. It's massive faggotry ruins great games like this one. To the author, I have to say, it's one of the best zombie flash games out there, but you're selling out. Like the game Shadez, it was a basic side-scrolling game of coolness, but Shadez 2 turned out to be a complete pile of SHIT because half of the features were locked away by MochiGames. This means that your next SAS Zombie Assault 3 game, and Shadez 3 will be even more heavily locked up from that retarded ad-spamming leeching company, which means it'll suck even more.

"If you like the game, great - if you don't then don't make it about the payment system, it should be irrelevant." --- Bullshit. If it's irrelevant, then why put it in the game in the first place? Should have been irrelevant to put in, right? If you hadn't noticed, signing up with some gay ad agency means giving away personal info, which means "paying" for it. There's nothing free about it when you pay for it later, having spam email and crap lining the walls of your mailbox.

Now, onto my review of the game...

It's great, albeit a bit slow on the money intake. I cut corners as much as possible, but even by wave 20 I'm still unable to buy a decent weapon or purchase the top barrier upgrade. I see myself killing zombies over and over with the same weapon, hoping to save up enough.

Random power-ups are cute, but too random and usually not worth going for. Sometimes they appear, then disappear immediately, or in locked, unreachable areas. Kind of sucks, but they aren't necessary for gameplay. Grenades are cool, but don't do enough damage. Holy Grenade FTW. Double-Damage is neat. Rage is crap, and for some reason it appears the most often. I'd rather replace Rage with some kind of money enhancement power-up.

Sometimes, when I'm refreshing a barrier and the enemy breaks through at the same time, they're stuck 'inside' the barrier. I move away, but still get hit 5-6 times, as if my entity lagged behind.

Weapon damage is painfully low in some weapons. Pistol and MP5 I can understand, but I'd recommend increasing the cost of the AK-47 and increasing its damage at the same time. Maybe even weapon description/stats/damage when moving your cursor over them in the buy screen? I mean, I know the AK-47 is better than the MP5, but HOW MUCH BETTER?

It would be good if barriers had something better than just defense hitpoints when upgrading. I mean, other than the final one that has barbed wire and attacks back, the barriers are pointless because they'll just last a bit longer and break anyway. The second-to-last barrier (steel) vs. the first (cardboard?) don't have much difference. The barbed one lasts a LOOONG time because it kills the enemies attacking it, while having the highest HP value.

The hardest point in the game is saving up for the $10k turret and placing it in a good place. Because making money is such a slow venture, it takes many, many waves of zombies to accumulate enough for just one turret. By then, tons more enemies are pouring out of every orifice and cavity and you have to build another turret to keep up.

The fact that you open up more areas means more zombies come at you sort of forces you to keep access to the map very limited.

I'm glad there is an ending.

Ah, fuck it. I need to say this. The MochiGames ruined your game, dude. I NEED to sign up to continue, NEED to sign up to save my exp progress, and NEED to signup AND pay for more weapons/benefits. Some benefits (health regeneration, more money per kill) will undoubtedly let you live longer in the game. Those should free, in-game buyable benefits. Irrelevant payment system? I call bullshit on that.

Fucking character limits. T_T_T_T
