Please, no reviews of "JULY 4TH WAS 5 DAYS AGO". It is Tammuz 17 on the Jewish calender, and July 4th of 1776 converts to Tammuz 17, so I'm technically on time (although for all intents and purposes, this flash takes place last Saturday). Since this entire series is about a Jewish guy and a stoner, I'd say it's a legit cop out.

The song is "Born in the USA (live)" from Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band Live 75/85.

Flint Cohen is a secular Jew who's taking night classes. He hopes to become a doctor, and meet a girl who doesn't leave half way through dinner and make him pay for it. His dating site of choice is J-date.
Joe Smith is a stoner who dropped out of high school halfway through senior year. He and Flint were friends in high school. Their relationship consists of Joe being an asshole and Flint having to put up with it.
EDIT: It should be noted that I accidently fucked up the flash right before I submitted. I fixed it (there was a lip sync issue)

that their bodies need to move, not just their arms and faces.
the sound quality's kinda bad,
its a cartoon short, so background-wise 'twas ok.
whats with the convulsing spherical object?
i dunno, the joke was ok, i guess, but i think more time spent animating instead of coloring and stuff wouldve done you well.
final note, find your own style, not the anime thing, that is incredibly overdone.
try not to beat dead horses. ( i really hope you get that)

I think you're talking about the fireworks at the end??
EDIT 8/4/09: OK, you mean the stereo. That's a stereo. It looks better before it's exported.
That lip sync took a few days.
That style is what I've been drawing since I was 10 or so, and before that I didn't actually draw very much. You can call it a dead horse. I call it my style. You can't really have an "original" style. Every style of art's been done before. The problem with a Japanese-y style is that it's more recognizable than most other styles.

4th as many trendy hip Americans like to call the 4th of July Independence Day should be celebrated every day. American fucking rocks. Good job moving the characters my boy. I liked how the Bruce Springstien lulz music was tailored to be in the background not just imported into flash and then evented. A
