Well, here it is. The "Re-mastered" version of Johnny Salem Episode 1 part 2.

After submitting the previous version, everyone gave it bad to mediocre reviews. However, they also gave me a lot of constructive criticism. And i took it to heart.

I made the animation much more fluid (if you don't think it's that fluid here, then you would die if you saw how choppy it was the last time.) Also, I fixed up the bullets of Johnny's guns (I think... God, i hope they're better.) Also, I added a few extra touches, like blinking and speeding lines on rotating tires. I hope this pleases people more than the last one.

I made this by drawing everything by hand with pencil and paper, inked it, then scanned it in to the computer where I colored and animated it in flash. It took about a month and a week to complete, working on it on and off inbetween my job and my social life.

SYNOPSIS:
Johnny Salem is a man who has dedicated his life to protecting good humans and good wiccans from evil wiccans (aka, witches, in layman's terms,) and evil humans. He travels the land, fighting these people, while searching for the one warlock that caused a tragedy to befall him in his past. However, when Johnny finally finds that said warlock, he learns that there is much more at stake than he could ever have imagined, as he must face his darkest fears and memories to save the world as we know it.

Special thanks to Rob Hooley and Adam Mack for their voice talents!
Hope you like!
-Trent

"Your story is building on up, Johnny Salem. . ."

Ok, tcoffin------>
This one (your second part of the first episode) is like, 20 times better than the first one! I STILL think Johnny's voice is amazing AND they're just too d@mn short. It was good to hear another voice as well. They're both very appropriate for their characters. The story is quickly getting the best of my curiousity, to tell you the truth. I think the storyline is pretty unique as well. I haven't run across ANY witch based flashes yet, actually. I know I've just BARELY scratched the surface of archives here though. Whatever, keep it up, because you could really have a nice series going on, Man. I would keep working with the SAME V.A.'s you have now though. They are JUST as important as the quality. I'll stop my wanna-be, know-it-all ranting now and leave you alone to start another one. Hope to see it soon! Until then. . .

..........Take care, be good and love thy Brother, witch OR human.period

don't worry, i'm definately going to keep the same voice actors for sure.
and, yeah, i think this version is a ton better than the first one, too.
i cut too many corners with that old one. but, like they say, live and learn.
peace!

Very nice but wow I read that you did everything by Hand with Pencil and Paper then Inked it then Scanned it. You must have a lot of patience to pull that off other then that id have to say work on the characters movement better also maby make them a bit more detailed.

"Good, nice job."

It's neat how you actually listened to critique and fixed up your movie- not many authors do that. The story was pretty interesting, the animation was solid enough; but the one thing that bugged me was the tiny screen size. I don't know, you need to animate at a larger dimension. Good stuff, though!

Author's Response:

thank you for the kind words!
But the tiny screen thing is like that to prevent you from seeeing black bars around the whole thing. For some reason, whenever I export it, it shows the outside of the stage and when things fly offscreen, it shows them there in that black margin. so i downed the screen size so you couldn't see it. :P
