UPDATE:
Due to the bad to mediocre reaction of this movie, I'm taking it down soon and replacing it with a better animated version. i took everyone's advice, fixed up the gunshots (made them purple instead of blue, so they wouldn't make his gun a watergun, and also fixed the whole straight line for a bullet thing), made everything more fluid, made the quality of the artwork on part one much better (turns out on part oneI had the jpg quality down to 60....don't know why.....so, yeah, that's why the quality sucks so much..:P) I also fixed the part where Johnny's arm joint separates. that was stupid of me not to fix, my bad. Last but not least, i have also added a few minor things, like characters blinking in some places and such. So, disregard this version, it kinda sucks, i know. Look forward to a better quality version soon!

"Johnny Salem."
Synopsis: Johnny Salem is a man who has dedicated his life to protecting innocent humans and wiccans from the likes of evil wiccans and humans. Throughout his battles, he is searching for the one witch (bad wiccan, in layman's terms,) who is responsible for a horrible tragedy in Johnny's past. When Johnny finally finds him, however, Johnny must learn to overcome his darkest fears and fight a battle that will save the world...

This is the final product of a project I've been working on for the last month or so. I drew everyting by hand, inked it, then scanned it all into flash, where i colored it, scored it, and of course, put the voices in.

Yeah, i know the art isn't great. Sorry about that. Thing is, i did it the exact same way with my other flash, "Dark Candy," and that turned out just fine.... I dunno, guess i just didn't do it right or something.
Thanks to R. Hooley and Adam Mack for the voices.
Certainly not bad, animation wasn't fluid, but I've also seen plenty worse from others. I'd say the worse thing was the black and white part of the fight, it looked like they were dancing.
I'm sorry, but niether the graphics nor animation were very good. The graphics could have been fine if they were put into the animation better. Instead of joints coming apart and those damned blue-line-bullets.
There also wasn't enough frames. One of the best things about the good action flashes is the framerate. The bullets and the fight scene were the main parts that lacked the frames. But I noticed it with all the camera moves... If you doubled the frame rate and used motion tweens for the camera I think it would be better.
The audio could be a better quality, but I don't think that you could have helped that unless you bought a different microphone. The voice acting was good.
I did notice something about the story though. I HAS been done, several times, and yet there are movies still making a lot of money off of the idea.
But I reckon it's story is better than "Underworld III", so it's mostly about the presentation.
I really like what you did with the ideas of being a Wiccan, and I'm happy that you're not depicting us all as evil magicians. Kudos
It's an interesting concept, and I can tell that your trying hard, but you need to improve your skills, to give this series tjhe impact it deserves.
It was a great effort, I mean that. You took some odd angles and used some great frame by frame work such as walking from in front, behind, etc.
A few tips though. Try using frame by frame for mouth movements. In real life our mouths take many shapes and sizes while we talk instead of moving smaller or larger. Each sound "Ah, eh, Ie" all has it's own shape and by using those you'll create a more realistic sense of talking. There are a ton of lip syncing tutorials on Newgrounds so give some a look.
You really, really need to use some frame by frame work for your limbs instead of just rotating them. It's not just an arm that moves when you lift things up, but instead the entire body. Even though it's slight it's incredibly noticeable when it comes to clothing and fighting.
Bullets/lasers (whatever you used) move incredibly fast, you should barely be able to see them instead of slow movement. By using flash movements it creates a sense of speed and danger. Personally I didn't fear those guns.
Blood seeps, let it ooze out. If somebody has been decapitated then there should be a hell of a lot of blood around. It's tough to animate but it makes it look more realistic.
It showed some potential, some great potential. I look forward to seeing your work as your skill progresses.
