This is my recreation of the game & watch classic: Judge!

Game & Watch game's were hand held consoles created by Nintendo in the 1980's. Due to the game technology of the time, the games had on and off pictures with no animation, usually with a black cartoonish character called "Mr.Game & Watch".

This was originally made for the Game & Watch collab by Holmfry (if you haven't seen his G&W games, see the link to them at the bottom), however, due to lack of participation, it was cancelled. I would still like to thank him for inspiring me to make a G&W game.

OVERVIEW:

This is a Game & Watch recreation of Judge. It is my favorite Nintendo Game & Watch classic. The goal is to try and hit your enemy on the head with the mallet is your number is higher, or run away if your number is lower. If you are correct, you gain points. If you are incorrect, your opponent gains points. First person to 20 points wins.

CONTROLS:

From the main screen, when the game is flicking on and off, select Game A or Game B. Game A allows play for one player and a computer, while Game B allows play for 2 players!

Note: In Game A, the player is the person on the right, and the computer is on the left. Use either the buttons or the arrow keys to attack(left arrow key release)/dodge(right arrow key release)

In Game B, player one is on the right and uses the right arrow key to attack, left arrow key to run away while player two uses the a button to run away and the d button to attack.

After the clock finishes ticking down, a number will appear over both players heads. If the number on your head is higher than the other player, you must attack before he runs away to get a point. If it is lower, vice versa. If both numbers are the same you must be the first to attack to get the point.

If you would like to go back to the title screen, press the ACL button. Press the Timer button for a surprise. :O

SPECIAL THANKS:

Author's Response:

Thanks for commenting, I realize it gets boring fast but thats one of the things about G&W games, there isnt really a lot of gameplay past the one game thats in it. Thanks for the review and 8/10 :)

"Perfect recreation!"

date: July 3, 2009

Well, you know I love those Game & Watches :) This game is a perfect simulation of the classic Judge game! You nailed it perfectly.. keep up the good work!

Classic retro action.. now to go find someone to play with so I can mash 'em with a mallet in some Game B action! :P

Thanks again for your awesome work and participating in the collab. Even though the collab itself didn't work out, I'm glad to see such an awesome game come out of it!
