This flash submission is just like a browser does, except that it has a *different* rendering engine. You know the previous submission, NG Graphix Loader v2.0? Well, it started out great and it got ditched, ultimately. But [I hope] it won't be the same with this.
Here, you have additional features. Over there, the layout was PRETTY simple, just a "GO!" button, "SAVE" and "HELP". And it had security sandbox VIOLATIONS that wouldn't allow you to access local SWF's remotely.
Now, this has an "UNLOAD" button, a red X that you press when you do the following:
goto, let's say, "http://www.newgroun ds.co m/flash/picon_settings_ur l.swf" and then goto the following URL:
"C:\Something.swf&qu ot;
then when you load it, if you had FlashTracer, then it would say "Security sandbox violation".
Now, when you do that, press the red X and type "C:\Something.swf&qu ot; and it will load.
Additional help is in the HELP file, ingame. (Help >> View Tutorial)
Besides, you CANNOT resize SWFs ingame. If it was possible, it would have been there. Images can, but not SWFs.
Now, there's the improved DOWNLOAD feature. You load a flash movie, image, etc, and when you think it has loaded enough, just click SAVE, in the FILE menu. (File >> Save file as...). It will tell you how many bytes it has finished so far, and how many bytes (or KiloBytes) are remaining.
When it has finished, a pop-up will appear at the bottom right of the screen, just like firefox.
For best results, if you want to know if there is an IOError or a HTTPError, then install firefox, and install the extension "FlashTracer" on http://addons.mozilla.org / . It will tell you when an error has come, e.g Error loading http://file.com/file.swf.
If you could give me some AS to tell the user if there is an error, then I would be grateful!
NOTE: Additional help is in the interactive and some music, too ;-)
Additional Notes: If NO movie/image loads AT ALL, and you have followed the instructions from the help, then check your browser. Have you got any ad-blocking program? If so, like Chrome, then choose another browser, like firefox. Then open it and browse ;-)
Music name is LAST FLIGHT, from platinum arts sandbox.
