Sonic and Mario's Drug Adventure.

Synopsis:
Sonic and Mario are the best of friends. In such a cruel world they NEED to be.
They live together in "Level 1: Forest-Land".
Mario is one day cultivating his crops.
Sonic stops by to see what Mario is doing.
Mario encourages Sonic to ingest potent fungi.
Sonic takes a full dose...
...The Drug Adventure Begins.
All the while they are being observed by an ethereal being... could it be God himself?
If so, why doesn't he do anything to stop the terrible events that he is witnessing?
Music plays from a distant time, possibly 1984, yet the retro groove dissipates and all that is left are the chilling echoes of death and a friendship lost.

The working title is "Sonic & Mario Save John F Kennedy".
