Finally, the direct sequel to my Anime Character Generator! Most of the program should be easy to figure out.

Use the Pink/Blue buttons by the email address to change gender.
Red circle button = reset item and color.
Dice button = random. Use random to achieve colors not available by the palettes.
Beware the mass-random options, especially if it randomizes colors. Rarely will you get good results!
What is R2? It's a more controlled random. It won't pick touch most armors and is overall significantly less likely to make your character look like they exploded.

I really wanted to implement the ability to save characters, but I am using an old version of Flash with 1.0 Actionscript. If you know how to do it, I would certainly be obliged. Until then, you can just use the Print Screen function on your keyboard, and then paste the image into an image program such as Paint.

People have requested music. To me, this is really more of a tool than a game, and I wanted to keep size down. Besides, I'd rather listen to my own music, wouldn't you?

I've tried replacing palettes with color sliders, but I fail. I'll give it another go next time though! @_@

Sorry, still no nudity! (You could just paint over it, easily)

You may use the results for free projects, but if it makes money then no, you may not. I would also appreciate credit, whether by email or by website.

You may download an offline version by visiting t/CharGen/

So what is the purpose of this program? For most people it is probably a quick 5-minute forgettable game. Some will use it to make their own characters, which is what I am hoping for. For me, it is an information tool. I want people to make characters and show me what they like. It also allows someone to show me what they want when they request a character. It is also a useful tool for me to generate random townspeople for the RPG I was working on.

Made a character? I'd love to see it!

2.2 fixes and changes quite a few things. Many colors were changed, background changed (for easier cropping), 30 some-odd hairstyles for both genders (though to use them, visit Kongregate), some new items here and there, and some model changes.

This is good, but lacking in some departments.

Okay. I had fun using this.

A few comments:

The layering is iffy. I particularly noticed it with the headgear, which looks like it isn't where it should be. Some items also don't stack too well on top of others--for example, even though a jacket should cover a long-sleeved shirt, parts of the sleeve of the long-sleeved shirt stick out from under the sleeves of the jacket... Get what I mean?

Another comment: The female blinks, but the male doesn't. Why? Don't men blink too? It's not a big deal, but it seems to make this work look very unfinished.

Also, there will be the usual asking for more styles, more items, yadayada, but none of these are things that can't be fixed without a little tweaking.

You have something great, though. Keep at it!

Don't use stereotypes, PLEASE.

I'm loving this Character Maker, but the women could use some of the stuff the guys get too, you know. Such as the Body Armor selection. I... kinda needed that. D:
