This is an animated music video for the song "Pink Moon," by Nick Drake.
In 1999, the song was used in a Volkswagen commercial... making it clear that the Volkswagen marketing team didn't understand the song (in medieval times, a pink moon was considered a sign of the apocalypse).
This cartoon was an impulse decision, and the animation took place over the span of just a few days. It wound up being one of those weird things that looked exactly the same in Flash as it did in my head.
