This is a fun little memory Match Game with a Pokemon Twist. All Pokemon have an identical match to them, it is up to find there match. Try your best to find all 21 Matches. All Pixel Artwork is from the Spriters Resource. Originally I was going to have a pokemon tune in the background, however when I put the music in, it put a major delay to the sfx of flipping the cards. Leave a Review, it is my first Actionscript 3.0 game.

+ It works smoothly
+ At least it has some sound -_-

- Music would be nice
- Why did you steal graphics from tSR?
- Isn't putting your card down cheating?

Author's Response:

I like this kind of review, the reason I made it was not to get the highest score on newgrounds. it was mainly to complete my first game on newgrounds. I could have improved a lot especially with better graphics, which I did give credit to. I had music in it however it lagged the sound effects to the card flipping. Putting your own card down could be cheating, it's really up to the user if they want to cheat. I thought if u didn't mean to pick up that card you could place it right back down.

"I really struggle with this sort of game...."

date: June 23, 2009

but that doesn't really make a big difference. At first I was ready to express how I thought this game sucked, when really It was just my lack of skill in this sort of game that sucked.

The game works well, the sounds may get a little annoying and the concept is not very original, but it's a puzzle game and it works, what more can we expect.

"Eh. Nothin' very interesting."

Of course, to fix the BGM problem, I had my own Pokémon music in the background. Notably Diamond/Pearl's Game Corner theme.

But the gameplay, as with all uninspired matching games, was kinda dry.

My score was...1970 and my time was 1:46.

Author's Response:

The music was a test, I did not keep it in there very long. I might add it back in. However it lagged the game and I did not like that. Plus It is very hard adding a preloader to the game with my current coding and I would not like adding a longer white screen.

Who doesn't love a good memory match game? I like the art style, good animations. All-in-all, nice job!
