This isn't exactly my best work.. and I know its out of the blue since i've been saying that i've been working on a much more serious project.. but this animation here was whipped up for a little contest on deviantart
Guidelines were that entries could be submitted in any medium and that they must include BOTH original characters the contest's host created AND elements from Super Mario Bros.
I've been debating for a couple weeks now whether i should share it on here or not..
but being the attention starved whore that I am.. the result of that debate is here before you..
Kurt the Cynic belongs to Andrew Kaye and Bowser to Nintendo
It was funny and drawn very well.
i already like the mario brothers but this is much better^^
i love the part where he is acting like a Emo and just walks by the falling rocks^^
I loved the whole video , of course the animation could always be better but the comedy was fantastic, I haven't sincerely laugh as much as when I saw the Bowser part for a while now.
Great animation, smooth style and a funny story. Not to long.. not to short. In other words, Great :)
Aha I enjoyed the Bad Ass Kurt in a Mario adventure, The animation was smooth and well put together. I was Kinda Hoping for him to either shoot Bowser, or Slap Peach or find that Toad is where the princess was and shoot him lol but thats just my idea.
I don't want to judge on things like what i am about to, but i feel the need to. It wasn't really action-y enough. In fact, it was kind of slow. The only exiting moments were the beginning when he was ASLEEP and the end when he slapped Bowser. The middle was just filler. Also, I would have enjoyed if it had more of an ending, like Kurt dragging Peach out past Bowser on her face, maybe Bowser in the fetal position or something, walking up to the castle courtyard, throwing her at someone or something, and going back to lay in the grass. That's only MY opinion, but i think it would have really improved the quality. Also, the middle was just lazy, you could have had him shooting/smashing enemies and doing acrobatics over and around obstacles, and i think i would have given it an 11 out of 10.
