Thank you Tom for the front page!!

I used the animations and code from a Super Smash Bros game I was making some time ago (but stopped) and created a newer and better Mario Combat game. It controls similar to Smash Bros and I hope most of you appreciate that.
So have some fun and vote.

honestly, not that good. i agree with exball the koopas look high and the game was indeed too cheery and fun filled when the previous mario combat was dark and powerstar itself was bloody, gory and filled with a bit more destruction. control wise, it was gay, sorry to be harsh but it was, it took FOREVER to kill a koopa or toad. to tell you the truth, stay away from video games and stick with flash movies, your alot better.

Okay this is good but the controls are confusing plus the toads are good guys and why is it so happy in Mario combat you used a lava and castle background and used scary music now its just happy and the koopas and toads look high on crack man.

"good, but controls are difficult to get used to"

the first mario combat had an easy pick up and play format (single button combo system and up arrow to jump) why not bring that back huh bud?

"Great"

Just like SSBB, lol, i really liked it, i think its one of the best slash games i've ever played :D

the controls are a little confusing, but thats the only thing i disliked about it :P

one thing thats easy to do is score A TON of points, just keep launching the enemies up into the air with the up-A como and you can probably score thousands of points, more enemies, way more points :P

i give this max score because it's AWESOME

"In an effort to update a game with very few flaws"

date: November 5, 2009

I do believe you've made the game a little bit worse here, D-SuN.

This is pretty much Mario Combat with a graphical upgrade and a new combat system. Unfortunately the flaws from Mario Combat return ten fold in the so-called Deluxe.

What's wrong? Well the combat system for one. Mario fights like he does from the Smash bros games, sometimes dude that isn't a good thing. Mario Tornado? Most of the time I'm killed in the middle of performing it because the damn enemies are still hitting me. The original never had the enemies killing me in mid-air. Not to mention, the original's flaw of being swarmed by enemies? That's tripled. It's like I have to avoid fighting or else I can't get to Bowser. Not to mention any chances to attack while being surrounded became null and void.

Second? Too bright and cheery. The Original takes place in a damn castle and the fight with Bowser was epic. Now, it's standard mushroom kingdom.

Finally, I'll address the third issue, aside from the combat, these final thoughts carried over from the original. There is healing. The original, you went on a different room and went on fully healed. Here, you go to the next round with the same damage. All well and good, but why can't there be some way we can heal in the middle of it. And the final issue: TOO DAMN SHORT!!! Seriously man... I believe the game could have used a little bit more to play with, yunno?

This isn't Mario Combat, not even close...
