UPDATES:
-Small update added (2010-01-21), adding a few bug fixes and gameplay tweaks. For instance, you can now drop enemies that you have picked up by pressing the down key.
-If you fall through the level and die after clearing a stage, you could try lowering the quality and/or turning off the camera effects in the options menu.
-It appears we should point out that ALL THE BOSSES ARE IN FACT BEATABLE. Each has a certain pattern that needs to discovered, that's all. If it doesn't always make perfect sense, sue us :)
-Finishing all 19 levels unlocks the Barbarian Stronghold survival level, where you must hold off the hordes for as long as you can.
-Again, thanks for the great reviews, frontpage and collection!

BARBARIAN ONSLAUGHT: THE SECRET OF STEEL
A young barbarian sets out on a quest to find the legendary Secret of Steel...

This sequel took nearly a year(!) to finish and contains more enemies, 19 levels, boss fights, complex combat and physics engines, geographical puzzle solving, an epic musical score and an intriguing storyline.

To all the fans who supported this game, big thanks! We really got a kick out of the reception the demo got. And many thanks to hzlancer for his masterpiece of a soundtrack.

Okay...

It became very repetitive. There should've been some type of element to upgrade your character, or maybe get new weapons. Overall, it was an okay game. If another one is made, I would like it to be shorter.

Game was great until the witch.

I like the simplicity with just the spacebar as the action button. It's more original th an the A S D button action games; this one involves a bit of timing.

Everything was fine; bosses are definitely about 5x harder than the levels themselves. That's fine.

However when I got to the witch, the difficulty rose exponentially. The boss is way too unforgiving. In one mistake, you can land in the fire and just die. So far I have tried about 25 times on this boss. It is very frustrating, which could be a good or a bad thing depending on how you look at it; hard is good.

I am not sure what you can really do; but the boss's difficulty was just big of a jump. That's really my only complaint. Everything else was great.

good but..

it was really good, in both the as and the graphics.
But it could of done with more controls for the attacks, just having to bash space gets abit too reppetive.
and maybe combos etc.
it does not deserve a 1!!

this is awesome

the reason i give it a 9 and not a 10 is at times it was too hard. one thing that bugged me was explosive barrels are only indicated when in rage. there were way to many times i blew myself up standing to close to barrels. Just put TNT or a skull and crossbones on the sides of explosive barrels.
