Well, I'm not gonna lie, I am not exactly PROUD of this, yet still, it's the first (non vomitive) movie I have ever completed. Did this in around 9 days, so please try to watch this with your expectations... not really all to high, because you'll be dissapointed, yet still, I did my best to see this turn out good, and I really wanted to make a submission to the wonderful page that is Newgrounds. Thanks a HELL LOT to you for watching, I really apretiatte it, I read and respond all reviews, so if you can make me a favor and tell me ANYTHING I could improve on, just tell me, I'd be really thankful. Now, the movie is short, I would've loved to make it longer, but I ended up having to cut the music in half and just finish it here, I just had to finish this quickly so that I can get rolled with my Power of Three team!

Aaaaaaaand... here's some dull stadistics:

- 1644 frames
- NO tweens at all.
- 24 Frames per second
- A minute and eight seconds long
- Music by blackattackbitch (http://blackattackbitch.
- A lot of love.
- Love for you too.

Thanks, enjoy!

Good job.

~ Animation/Graphics ~

I always enjoyed the notebook paper/animation over the paper type of flash. I've seen it done quite a few times with my 5 years on this website. I don't think I've ever seen it done with the ripped paper though. Kind of added to the sad effect/style that the submission gave off.

Drawings were done very well. The animation was very smooth and I'm impressed with it since the animation was done with FBF. There really wasn't much room for tweens though.

~ Story/Concept ~

Like I said I've seen this done on newgrounds a lot, but have always enjoyed it. There were a few scenes that I wish you would have taken further. Such as the hand over the rose and the gravestone because they were simply pictures. I wouldn't have minded seeing some animation with them such as the hand grabbing the rose and then the pedals falling off into the transition of the gravestone with a shadow beginning to be created to represent death, which would go along good with the theme of the submission.

~ Audio ~

Good choice of music and I don't see any room for improvements in this part of the flash. Very fitting for the animation and graphics at hand.

~ Overall ~

Nicely done, wouldn't have minded seeing some things taken a little further because I got the sense of "incompleteness" when I was done watching this submission. Keep up the good work.

Ghaaaa, did you read my mind or something?! The parts with the rose and the grave were animatics, I would've loved to develop them further, the hand was actually supposed to grab the rose and get stug with a torn, and I had thought about doing plenty of other stuff, but due to the lack of time, I just couldn't, thank you very much for the review, I aprettiate it!

A creative flash.

The whole animation on notebook paper idea has been done before, but I felt like you brought yours to life. The music fit the style of animation well. You have a cool technique when drawing your figures, I like it. It's very impressive that you animated the entire length of the flash without using a motion tween. I can tell you spent a lot of time on this, very good job.

I didn't sense a storyline in the flash which made me dissapointed. It was beautifully animated and had sad images, but all that I could make out of it was that a man was crying. It seemed like it needed just a little more information before it could be considered completed. Besides that, I really found this piece to be amusing. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the help, I really aprettiate it, I took in count how the paper background has already been used 1000+ times, yet still, I wanted to give this some kind of meaning that Iwould've if I had more time. The original idea was to later make a zoom out and show the sheet of paper in a dumpster, while a kid runs through and throws another piece of paper, but due to the shortage of time (this was done in 9 days, but yeah, around 2 hours every day) I couldn't do it.

After the half of the flash, I ran out of time and starting poping more stuff that would've been faster to animate. Actually, I am almost sure that someday, I'll finish this or even redo it. Thank's for your review, I aprettiate it.

Good animation

Great graphics and animation. The background music was good too. The movie could have used some sort of plot though. The background of the papaer was awesome , however, and this was, overall, a good Flash.

Thanks man, most of the time during the making of this movie I was basically drawing figures with my pen until I could think of a way to put it all together, since the other ideas that I had that could've done it would've taken too much time which I didn't dispose of. Thanks again for the review!

Not bad

A good choice of music, well animated and a very interesting background of the torn jotting pad. I think that given a little more work, this could certainly be a very good piece. Some parts of the animation, particularly the wilting rose felt like they were slightly rushed, which is a shame, to be honest, as drawing it out will only serve you well.

I can certainly see that you'd be capable of something bigger, perhaps even with a completely different background and maybe some colours. I think that's the natural progression for you.

I think that's you've interpreted the music really well and that bodes well for your creative skills and overall your writing, since you've got to come up with the inspiration and turn it into something from the brainstorm.

Thanks Coop for the review, you are completely right in every aspect that you specified here, I really wish I could've spent more time here, the blinks ended up being extremely rushed because I ended up adding them to make the scenes a bit more active than just a little tiny graphic for 30 secs.

Thanks again for the review, I'm sure that I won't rush so much my next movie, which will most likely come after my Po3 game!

i liked the detail of the background. i was so much in the flash that when it ended i sorta snapped out of hypnosis or something O.o. fbf animation was well done and the music fit it quite well (not perfectly, mind you).
P.S this is way too underrated

Zyphonee responds:

Well, thank you very much for reviewing, my friend. The background wasn't really a pain in the ass to make. I took a plain sheet of paper texture and just started messing around with brushes and such, all bow to Photoshop, else, it would've been the true definition of nightmare in Flash, same would go if I tried to do it without a base, and would look worse.
I think I understand what you mean with this hipnosis whole, although I think it might aswell be just the shortness of it, and the fact that, unlike other flashes un which there's something really specific to watch, I tried to center the spectator's view on the whole screen. Thank you for reviewing, I aprettiate it!
