Defeat the enormous mechanical beasts--and become one of them.
4.03 / 5.00 48,904 ViewsRaider: Episode 1 is the first in a series of five platformers, consisting of a single level each. The levels are long, however.
This game is designed to be reminiscent of 'old-school' games which those of us old enough to remember playing them as children might find nostalgic.
It is designed to be CHALLENGING. Only the best players will be able to achieve the fabled S ranking for their performance. Can you?!/
Controls are specified in the game. They can also be customised from the How to Play screen.
PLEASE try Beginner mode if you're not great at platformers or if you find the other difficulties to hard and frustrating. It removes many of the most irritating aspects of the higher difficulties. Please do not complain that the game is too hard if you haven't even tried Easy mode.
NOTE: It seems that playing this in Internet Explorer results in some strange input-related problems, where the keys seem to 'stick' or something. You shouldn't really be using IE anyway; it's a notoriously bad browser.

Deserves to get smoother
I don't really know what to think of this game. They are things i really like: the humour in the texts, the graphics, the intergalactical atmospher, the music... But on the other hand, the animation and the gameplay are stopping me from fully enjoying Raider. His gestures, moves, jumps... It's not smooth enough, and it all gets easily boring. Well, to me.
It's really cool, but it deserves a bit more of identity in the animations.
They're as smooth as the games this is meant to resemble, like Megaman, etc. Animations were only ever a few frames on the NES.

Make cross-browser compatable
Developers need to come to the realization that not everyone uses Firefox. over 25% of the population in America still uses IE6 and another 20% using IE7 and above. Even though IE sux.. We as developers still need to allow EVERYONE to view our content regardless of browser compatibility, because who are we to know what restrictions are placed on the computer your user will be using?...
...Other than that I found the game... meh... the graphics are great for a pixalation platform. It's not my cup of tea of though, I require more action, than solving a route that leads to death every 5 seconds...
Good work 7/10 + 3/5
I haven't the foggiest idea WHY it doesn't work in IE though; I only became aware of the problem after the release and I don't know how to fix it.
If I'd know from the start that IE would bugger up the controls for no good reason, I'd have coded the game in such a way that it wouldn't break, but as it is, I'd assume that the only way to get around the IE thing would be to completely rewrite the game's control scheme or something.
And I'm not doing that.

Challenging...
In a good way. Even though I didn't play much of the game (failed too much lol) I did enjoy what I saw, and enjoyed playing it. Now, I normally don't like these kinda games so imma give you a seven. Be grateful for it.

Well...
I didn't play for very long so I can't really give you a fair review ,but here goes.
The controls did their job nicely but all I kept thinking was, "fuck i'm slow" over and over again. But that's just me and my love for Mario, god bless the B button.
Very reminescent of old games. You succed there.
Your silly signs amused me.
I agree with you about how much Internet eXplorer sucks. I mean, we used to beat people up and take they sneakers for using it. I represent that Mozilla shit, feel me brah?
