Raider: Episode 1 is the first in a series of five platformers, consisting of a single level each. The levels are long, however.

This game is designed to be reminiscent of 'old-school' games which those of us old enough to remember playing them as children might find nostalgic.
It is designed to be CHALLENGING. Only the best players will be able to achieve the fabled S ranking for their performance. Can you?!/

Controls are specified in the game. They can also be customised from the How to Play screen.

PLEASE try Beginner mode if you're not great at platformers or if you find the other difficulties to hard and frustrating. It removes many of the most irritating aspects of the higher difficulties. Please do not complain that the game is too hard if you haven't even tried Easy mode.

NOTE: It seems that playing this in Internet Explorer results in some strange input-related problems, where the keys seem to 'stick' or something. You shouldn't really be using IE anyway; it's a notoriously bad browser.

I agree with everything burning train said.
I got excited at the start of the game, but as the game wore on it became very clunky.
I enjoyed it until that point,

"good game but glitches"

date: January 14, 2010

the game had good sound cool look and was starting to be a possible fav of mine then keys stuck and wouldnt respond i then read your comments and Author's Response to alot of ppl about there IE and they need to change if your going to make a game maybe you need to fix your own mistakes and especially if its what tons of people are using yeah let me change my computer so i can play a game thats free and have thousands very similar to it with authors that like people to enjoy there games and dont put it on the player for there mistakes/glitches so i give you 5 stars for a good game that half of the people can play so half of the score i find that fair and i did like it for the few seconds i could play

but I would prefer if you continued the Mardek series instead of starting a new series.

"A bit clunky, but functional"

date: September 13, 2009

I played for a while, and I had fun with it for the while. However, the controls seemed a bit clunky and the character moved in an odd way when it was most important that he didn't. Once I got to the later areas, It got bad enough for me to stop playing. I bet if I spent some time getting used to it, I'd enjoy it a lot more. However, it would be nice if it was more smooth. I haven't played the 2nd, so I don't know if you fixed it, but if you didn't that's I'd recommend fixing it.
