This is merely a movie made to showcase how effective Flash has become in creating visualisations for music. It won't appeal to many of you, but I thought I'd release this anyway, as I couldn't find anything similar here on Newgrounds.

I reckon that something like this would work beautifully in movies which use things like computerized voice or sound-only transmissions, as it gives that added edge of virtual sound display.

Enjoy.

EDIT: I'm aware that the sound wasn't actually playing when you press PLAY. It's fixed now, though.

I can hear,

But I see nothing but a black BG :( I know there's supposed to be SOMETHING there, but I don't know what!

Not worthy of copyright

Yes, you managed to show the waveform, but that is far from enough. You need something that doesn't scream "minimal effort and no creativity". It's technically working, but not even there impressive. You need to add creativity here, it is not enough to just show the basic waveform (or the fft either), you need to create a work of art here! You know blend modes, you got a drawing api, but what you lack is creativity. You are about as unique as drawing the letter A with three lines. Everyone is doing it, exactly that way. You need to be different to stand out.

I would like to thank you for your criticisms - it's what drives me to develop more intricate Flash projects. I've already began adapting it. It's now a part of my Flash music player. Thanks for the criticism :D

A goood idea!!

Deffinitely a good idea, I never would have thought they could get so accurate! I think you should have made the song shorter for it though, as the ending bit really shows off its accuracy.

Good Programming

But something like this is already been made here at Newgrounds. Just look in the Audio Portal, the audio player used in there got this kind of visualization ;)

Broken?

Doesn't appear to work for me. Not sure how widespread the issue is, but I can't give it a good rating.

Certainly interests me as a concept though.

The problem was fixed. you should be able to view it now ;)
