EDIT EDIT: Whoa, over 1000 views in 6 and a half hours, thats my fastest yet :D Thanks guys

EDIT: Oh my god! The film has won the competition :D Thanks to everyone who wished me luck and everyone who helped

Ok so this film was made for the animation 09 competition. It was judged on the 26th of May 2009 but I don't get my results until I get back to college because the results were emailed to our teachers instead of us. I'll update the description when I find out :)

Story: A student wakes up late to discover that his maths homework is due in in just one minute! To make things worse, he's overslept! The film was made to test out anime style, which has always been one of my goals as an animator.

Anyway, without further delay, I present to you, Homework Dash!

the one part that was weird was that he was on the streets, then he jumped off the cliff. other then that, it was amazing, anyway good job, hope to see wat happens in that competition thing u were talking about.

Author's Response:

It wasnt a cliff he jumped off, it was a book and a scyscraper, and as for the competition I won it :D I find out which category I won next month at the awards

"Like the person before me"

right off the bat, the walking was a litle off, looked almost as if his feet were swimming, it was way too fluid like moonwalking lol, but i felt music and timing and everything else was pretty good, definately work on your running animation.

Author's Response:

Yeah, most of the complaints are about the run cycle, so I'll look up a tut in that and then hopefully fix that for future submissions

"Awesome sauce"

date: May 27, 2009

-good story simple no frills
-sound worked well with it
-good gags loved the bouncy castle
-lots of cool camera angles
maybe use the brush tool or else set your line tool to a thicker point
and use less or subtler gradients gradients make stuff look tacky generally
but other than that AWESOME! :)
keep it up look forward to seeing more

Thanks :D
Great review with the good and bad points, and I rarely use gradial fills now it was just for the lighting effects or when I'm in a rush. And you will see more films soon ;)
