This is a good game, it reachs above other protection games, but has useless things that kill a bit of the buzz.

personal leveling does literally nothing, and by the time you get the worth while of levels they become unused and generally worthless.

Hero bonuses do almost nothing worth its while, and they work less well than a worked out unit.

Some of the unit upgrades are not needed like armor piercing aren't very great.

In general it's a good game to kill time, but think what you want.

This game killed probably 30minutes of my time which is more than most games, you gotta put a little more awesome into the next one or whatever next thing you make.

"a great game with a huge waste of features"

this game really deserves a 10, because it was done so well.

however, you built in a personal leveling system that is practically useless, cant be reset, and doesnt offer much explanation. it barely contributes to gameplay.

in addition, you built in a hero system that is completely worthless. you get way too little gold for beating board, so makes it not worth playing.

finally, the achievements offer way too much work in order to attain all of them.

now, i do understand your point. you want people to come back and play again and again. however, for what you DO know about creating wonderful games, you lack in knowledge of your average gamer.

this should seriously be one of, if not THE BEST DEFENSE GAME OUT THERE. why isnt it? because those three components were not thought out properly. people will bore quickly.

let me give you an example, i spent hours beating and rebeating cheap boards in order to get achievements to help me in the game.

however, when i saw how slow going it was, i gave up. i literally just said, "screw this" and started to attack harder and harder boards.

turns out, i discovered a few things:
- the only skill worth upgrading is "hardiness";
- make sure you get the achievements for reduced paving costs (it helps later on);
- the only hero worth anything is "bob the builder", because that plus achievements will give you a crazy low cost for paving;
- some of the "hard" boards are easier than the mediums;
- read every line of every group of units before you set up on the battlefield;
- many boards were designed to feel easy at first, then you get ONE group of unit(s) that destroys all your work;
- most boards CAN be beaten by simply NOT leveling AT ALL until you pass a unit that holds the absorb ability, then upgrade the crap out of your units after you are safe;

so, with that being said, this game should have been listed more as a puzzle game, than a defense game.

i have never been this annoyed with a great game. you really could dominate the defense game field, but THINK, MCFLY! i know you want us to come back again and again, but give us incentive to!

final note: dude, im seriously angry at you for creating a skill called "fast learner" when a) it barely increases experienced gained AND b) the game can easily be beaten by level 5.

Once I got past the learning curve between easy and medium (this is my first time playing a Protector game) I had an immense amount of fun playing, and I'm well on my way to wasting ten hours! I've recommended this to all my firends over the 'net, excellent job.
I'd go into more detail, but all these other positive reviews have said it all.
Ten out of ten, and deserving of that most Forntest of Pages!
