Update: Daily 3rd and Frontpage, thanks a bunch Newgrounds, you guys rule! After reading reviews I decided to make the game a bit easier since a lot of people were finding it too hard. If you're still stuck on the last boss, it's probably because you forgot to upgrade your HP. Don't go rushing in there with 25 HP, he'll just kill you in two hits.

After several weeks of work, my latest game is finally done! The kingdom of Arcurie is in peril, will you be able to save it from the forces of darkness? Super PSTW Action RPG is sure to blow your socks off with its revolutionary, yet streamlined gameplay! Feel free to jump right in, all controls are listed in game!

Game Features:

Dynamic Real Time Combat - Jump, slash, and block enemy attacks
Upgradeable Stats - Personalize your character any way you want
Magic spells - Unlease power elemental forces to lay waste to your foes
Shops to purchase additional items and gear to help your quest
Three diabolical bosses to really test your skills
Dramatic cinemas with full voice acting by industry profesionals
11 dramatic orchestral tunes from the fine folks over at the audio portal

Enjoy and please review! I'll try to respond to as many reviews as possible!

Edit 2: The song in the desert is called "Entering the Stronghold" by Danman87. It used to be in the audio portal, but was removed. You can get the new version here:

One of the best games yet!

This game was the epitome of brilliance. You took a simple concept and revolutionized it. The action, the balance, audio, they all neared perfection. The graphics however just weren't my style, but I'm not one to downgrade a score based on my own personal flavor.

The story was compelling, dramatic but still contained a slight touch of humor. It reminded me of a few of the best RPG's, like Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest, which I think you used a few things from in the game (Limit Break, surprising plot twists etc.) The cutscenes were beautiful and awe-inspiring, I just wished you would give our hero an identity and voice of his own, instead of LOZing us. I think we've seen enough silent heroes. The ending was heartbreaking, and I felt tears welling up. I found it to be one of the most emotional scenes in a RPG since Aeris died.

The game itself was fun to play and constructive. In many RPG's, the fights become repetitive after a while, and farming just becomes boring. Not here though, you're on the edge of the seat the entire ride. The fights, the quests, they're all brilliant. Just before you can get bored, you blow us away again with amazing quick-time events, ora totally different fight. The bossfights were hard, but not impossible. You needed to be at the top of you're game to defeat them, but the game was pretty forgiving. The controls were easy to master and logical, no complaints from me.

All in all, I have to say, that this is one of the best game I've ever played here. But, why don't I give you a 10/10? That's because of the duration of the game, I found it just to short to be perfect, the (slightly) too long introduction and the fact that the medals do not work. If they had from the start, you'd had a perfect score.

5/5, 9/10
