Mike and I made this game as an experiment to see if we could express this little idea solely through gameplay. We ask that you be patient while playing through it and try your best to finish it. Also, if you have an interpretation and so on, please share in a review.

Thanks for playing and keeping an open mind!

Shades of Grey

To me, it has a lot of different meanings. Here are few :
1) To change people's mind, you need to go baby steps. First understand their way of thinking, then introduce your thoughts gently. Hammering your opinion never works.
2) By listening to different opinions, your own mind can change. It is not a bad nor good thing, it just happens. And as you gather information, your opinion will start to...
3) Present nuances. But as your opinion becomes more subtle than black or white, people tend not to give as much attention as before, for you're not in Team Black nor Team White. You become an individual.

My interpretation

I noticed that you can only convert people by meeting their arguments in the middle. I interpreted this to mean that you cannot change someone's mind unless 1) they wish to deliver an argument, and 2) you counter that argument on a middle/common ground, without being so extreme that they dismiss you.

I interpreted the ending as the protagonist suddenly seeing a different side of the issue, one that is not present in the apparent popular dichotomy. She can no longer engage and persuade others because no one understands her side of the issue, she is immediately dismissed as not being relevant to the argument at hand.
