This is my first game, it took me about a month to make because I was new to actionscript when I first started it. In this game you are a stick figure. This can be tricky and in some places seem unfair, I tried to make it very difficult but beatable. I'm still working on getting hitTests down, so instead of you just dying you will get trapped and have to push a reset button that I have placed.

use W,A,S,D to move and jump.

wow

this is cool but its hard

Hard

I just love this game but i think it's a bit too hard. I also think you should add moves like wall running and wall jumping, faster movements should be great too! I give this 8/10 because i love it but it's too hard. Keep up the good work!

VERY GOOD GAME

I could play the game all day. but i need to talk to you about how to do the COOL stuff to your profile if you dont know me im HARRISON david's BROTHRER

Awesome engine, huge potential, pretty crummy game

This is the kind of game I love to play. Short, simple platformers that don't take up too much time, but are long and challenging enough to leave you with a sense of accomplishment when you're finished. However, there are a lot of specifics about your game that leave it a lot less fun than it should be.

The moving platforms move out from under you, allowing you to fall. They should carry you with them as they move.

Invisible platforms that are necessary in order to complete the game should always have some indication that they're there and not be a challenge to cross over (a good example is your "not a bug, just really hard" pit: that platform should not have any holes in it and you should hit it on your way up if you try to jump over that pit normally).

I understand you're still learning and I wasn't even put off a bit by having to click a restart button upon death, but was it really necessary to make us press three (two restarts and then the play button from the menu)? Couldn't the single click have taken me back to the start?

Moving into positives: your LOL wall was very well done. It required out of the box thinking, yet at the same time gave the player enough clues such that they were able to point themselves in the right direction.

In conclusion: there is a lot of potential here. The banter on the walls/etc. gave a lot of enjoyment to this game and if there were not so much frustration added by invisible platforms (both as travel paths and obstacles) this game would be an exceptional example of online gaming.

As a point of clarification: I realize you were aiming for very difficult. There is a difference between that and frustration and you landed squarely on the latter. It is a lot more difficult to make a game difficult than it is frustrating, but it is so much more rewarding in the end.

thanks, I'll keep these things in mind! and i think that when the moving platforms move out from under you, it makes it so that you have to try harder.
