Amazing game on FF Style!

Remind me of the old Final Fantasies, but with muuuuuuuuuuch better graphics! Congratulations dude, this is for sure the best game series I´ve ever saw on newgrounds.

This is, hands down, one of the coolest RPGs on Newgrounds. With a great variety of skills and spells, diversified enemies, very challenging bosses, outstanding graphics, a good dose of humor (Tentacle rape? Come on =P) and diversified references to different universes (Pichu, some other pokemons, Catastrophe, slimes and vampires, etc) this game really has it all.

The only problems it has are the ones everybody mentioned. It desperately needs savepoints or at least checkpoints. Also, you might want to tune down the difficulty a little bit. Most of the game is OK, but Goku (undead god?) is on normal what many final bosses are on hard, if not very hard. I managed to beat him twice, but both times it took time, luck, and stress.
Poison is annoying, lazors hurt a lot, melee hits retardedly hard AND debuffs you often making Protect and Barrier kinda useless (because there's no way you can reapply them after each melee), his weakness is Holy damage which can be done by only 2 attacks. Both are expensive in mana and since the White Mage mostly acts as a HealMore healbot in this fight, it's hard to find the occasion to use her Judgement. Seal is not that bad since Natalie can dispell it, at least from herself (because it's hard to find the occasion to dispell it off the warrior between heals) but it often forces you to consume potions...
And then there are spirit bombs. Aaaah, the good old spirit bombs. No possibility to heal before since you have to guard on the spot. 5-6k damage even guarded, followed by another cheap attack which combined with a Poison can well be the final straw that sends you into oblivion. The only positive thing about the Spirit Bomb is that it means Natalie will almost NEVER run out of mana in this fight: each guarded bomb restores about 650 mana.
In one word: he's extremely hard and keeps you on the edge of your seat for the whole battle. IN NORMAL MODE. How am I supposed to beat him on Hard or Very Hard is really beyond me. Unless I'm missing something vital to this fight, in that case would someone please tell me what it is, for I have no idea.

But still, awesome game.

A truly epic game! Praise ensues :3

When I first played the game, I was a bit unsure as to what was about to happen; as soon as I got past the menu screen, I was enthralled! You've (by the way, for purposes of me being able to use my preferred style of speech, this review is addressed to the creator of this fine game) taken the best parts of turn-based-combat, thrown in some excellent references (which always make me smile) and made it ridiculously compelling.
It would be no exaggeration to say that Epic Battle Fantasy is one of the best games on Newgrounds - right now I'd say it's the best I've played, certainly. Your animation style continues to impress, with each character bursting with energy and... erm... for lack of a better word, character? ^^;
Anyway, you've done an absolutely fantastic job on this game, and I look forward to the sequel! I hope you're able to get the sponsorship you're looking for, but please try and keep some of the references in - it just wouldn't be the same without Mareep and the others ;_;
So congratulations on your success, and keep up the good work! With Epic Battle Fantasy, you've made many a web-browsing RPG fan very happy :3

p.s. The only downside is I stayed up waaay too late playing this, so now I'm knackered! Testimony to the compelling nature of your works, I'd imagine XD
