A simple tutorial on how to put in-game achievements into any (AS2) flash game. If you have any questions, or comments on how to better code in-game achievements, please leave a comment.
Thanks a bunch!
I like it alot! I generally always get confused when using SOL's, but this helped alot
Great but c:
It's very useful and help to get a understanding of what you're talking about i liked it very much but, I would like to ask how it would be applied pictures?~ I tried lookig all over for something close to this but i couldn't figure it out x_x""
how do you go to the next frame?!?!!
all i see is a intro with nothing to go to the next page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:(
The game might be a little to big on smaller monitors, scroll down. There's nothing important on the top anyway.
If you want to have a page embedded .swf, go here: tinyurl.com/djsz8t
Overall, you talked about everything you said you were going to talk about and you even went above and beyond. I also like the little "game" you added at the end to help explain the achievements. The only reason I am giving this a 9 is because on the 8th frame when you are talking about in-game achievements on the second to last bullet you said, "Something for finding secrets you've hiding in your game." Ah well. This tutorial even can be used to help other programmers as well. I can think of a few game developers that should read this before they go and make their achievements. Great Job on this.
AHHHHHHH! Typos/spelling mistakes FTL.
Fixed now. Thanks for pointing it out! :)
For those interested this is actually quite useful, and you went above and beyond and gave suggestions on unlockable ideas
What’s inside this box? A lot of puzzles! Can you solve all 30?
Use the mouse to navigate menus and to queue and cancel robot actions.
