Collect smaller squares, avoid bigger ones!
EDIT: I have read your reviews (thanks!) and many of you asked for a mouse version. You can find it here: http://www.newgrounds.com /portal/view/492468 (powerMOUSE)
It was fun but the controls were a little buggy, but good job anyway, still can kill some time with it :D
controls are bad
The controls are bad. The acceleration movement idea is usable, but it needs to be a higher acceleration with a speed cap. So you get up to speed fast, but don't accelerate out of control.
Also, I'm not entirely sure what the score system is based on. Is it time? Amount of squares you ate? How does that work?
This could be much better. There are some glaring faults that are getting in the way of what would otherwise be a great game:
1. Music mute button: occasionally causes music to restart instead of mute.
2. Controls: uses arrow buttons where a mouse would be better. That would be forgivable, but that the circle slips all over the place is not; there should be hardly any coasting in this game at all. Or better yet, none. It feels like I'm steering a cow on rollerskates!
3. Screen wrap: This is actually a boon when used correctly, but more often than not makes the edges of the screen far more dangerous than normal! Were the opposite edge of the screen somehow made visible, it might make this function a bit less confusing...maybe not. Iono.
But you cannot go off the top of the screen and reappear at the bottom. It's just not there.
4. Collision detection: too often have I been hit by either nothing or the nothing of a square that I dodged.
Like I said before, it's a good game, but it needs some tweaking.
This is basically fishy, but without controls that are easy to use. For one thing, I should be able to use the mouse. The way you've implemented the controls, it's too unresponsive and imperscise for a game that requires percision. Also, there is no reason why the sides should wrap. Now I want to go play fishy.
it reminds me alot of that game where you eat the smaller fish. same concept i guess. This game is just way too short. I barely started playing and i was already the largest object.
An indirect Sequel to "The Artist" shows the life of the salaryman
Cornelius & Toots are back, and a Haunted House Ride seems a little spookier than usual!
