This is a Snake Game I made it's not much.
You say: It's not much
I really dislike it when people toss out a poorly done piece of work and then critique it as such, knowing full well it's shabbily done. If you'd done the best job you could do, I'd have given you more stars for that alone, and at least an average score for successfully replicating the original. As it is, I ask myself "Why did he bother?" Why not spend a little more time sprucing it up to make a better product, when there's so much out there already? It's not much, and that's unfortunate.
Someone already mentioned the bizarre layout, the counter-intuitive warnings that suggest you can't hit the wall... and that you can... at the same time!??! I can appreciate an original take on the old game, since that's apparently what you intended, but you need to keep in mind that you're designing it for other people to play and it needs to make some kind of sense.
Other than that, good attempt at replicating it. The original wasn't all that special to begin with, and a little more effort would have made the difference.
Because all newgrounds needs is ANOTHER Snake clone.
Really snake without the walls. Tthe only thing that can kill you is yourself. I like the walls, because it adds to the challenge...
Heh. This game is what my childhood was about ;)
Well... Not really, but you got the message. Anyway, the game itself worked nicely, didn't notice any bugs, and you've remade a classic.
The only thing that bothers me is that next to the red text written "Wall" is all those "Dangers" writings. I mean, why are they there if the wall doesn't kill you at all?
Also, you could add some music and/or sound effects. It would greatly improve this game. Just search for non-annoying ones, 'kay?
Hoping to see more of you!
Quite fast paced compared to most snake games
The snake in this game grows quite faster compared to most snake games I've played. Which is good since who likes spending 10 minutes to get into the action?
anyway, simple and entertaining nice job.
The sequel to "Outpost:Haven"
Hunt The Candy!!!
A thrilling rush through cyberspace!
