HEY GUYEZ THE 2ND ONE IS OUT!

http://www.newgrounds.com /portal/view/552650

ATTENTION: The music doesnt work anymore because the site that it streamed from deleted the music file FFFFFFFFffffff. I dont have the original file anymore... so how about playing the song on the left? *Its under the music credits by SBB*

This is an experimental art gadget in which you move your mouse to create some really nice effects. I tried to be as original as possilbe by writing my own code, making my own animations, and pretty much making everything else my own. I achieved this, and was very happy with the final result. In order to enjoy this trippy thing, go through each effect slowwwllllyyyyyy.... Just sit back and let the music engulf your mind. Or you could go smoke some pot and come back 10 minutes later. THEN you would enjoy its full potential. :D

So anyway, sit back, relax, and enjoy the colors...

I ate eggs for breakfast this morning

P.S. Some of you may have seen this before in the portal. Well, it had TONS of glitches and stuff, so I deleted it and then put this final version up. I even added more effects! :)

P.P.S I am making a second one with all 3D effects made in 3Ds max and Illustrate 5.5.

P.P.P.S the eggs I ate this morning were the worst eggs I have ever had.

Huh? This isnt a cursor game that your thinking of... its an experimental art gadget made out of coding and stuff. And dont judge on that even if there are others.. like I have said in the past, just because there are tons of first-person shooters doesnt mean all the new ones suck.

Cool but,

Dude why no WASD control? This is a pain in the ass for a right-handed person to play, I am using a laptop built-in mouse pad and I have to either cross my arms or mouse left-handed to play this. Looks like a trippy and fun little experiment but I can't control it comfortably.

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

Well, sorry about that. I could have a WASD control I guess... but that shouldnt bring my score down by that much. :o

Some good, some bad.

A very mixed bag.

It's a shame that all of the things apart from #12 were just mcs being spawned at the point of your mouse.

I really liked the change in #12 and had fun imagining other possible ways to interact - hoping you'd do some of those things and more.

The different shapes and animations do encourage different sort of movements as we're interacting in order to make pleasing shapes though - something I like.

And yet, there's an awful lot of repetition and a fair few that I think could have been cut out in the name of improving the overall impression. There's a good few variations on each possible movement pattern when it may have worked better to just focus on the best few.

The representational smiley faces felt trite compared to the abstract stuff and the thin black lines around some shapes looked unpleasing to my eyes as did some of the 'hand-drawn' stuff. The geometric shapes look kind of classier and seem better suited to being repeated as particles.

There's a fair few Flash on NG that spawn particles at mousepoint already but if you pursue different ideas in how the particles could move and be interacted with - something I hoped you'd do after #12 - I'd love to see a sequel.

Bird in Flight was cool too.

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

I am making a sequel actually that will have 100 effects and many of them physics controled. These effects were all tween controlled with a program called Fuse where they change different colors, blur, glow, e.t.c. You might think most of them are shot out of the mouse when in fact, they are just created when you move your mouse. I wanted it to be simple top control, so i made everything with the mouse.

Thanks a lot for the review. :)
