This is a poem I wrote and animated.
Music is: http://ccmixter.org/files /BillRayDrums/19403

Silas sits in the Sheetz store
playing his PSP
Perry is on the Police force
wondering why he won't leave
Donnies doped on codeine
to while away the day
and Abby abhors advertising
but she's just too terrified to change
Beautiful baby blue skies, and colorless cotton soft clouds
Living their lives like they've died, wondering what livings about
Silas says from time to time i take some LSD
Perry prattles on 'bout Perry Mason on tv
Donnie does his drugs, except on saturday
and Abby eats a horse sized meal, but it comes back up the same way
Pretending its all cool, easy going and upright
too tough to be tools, they're convinced every night
Silas he laughs, says he chose his low status
and Perry is working his way up the ranks
Donnie is just way too doped up to care
Abby just wishes her parents were there
Things unknown lie out there in the dark
Beyond their comfortable neighborhood parks
When talking and being, when laughing and singing
they look without seeing, they breathe without being
Silas has his games
Perry has his car
Donnie has his music
and Abby has her stars
But sometimes fate and sometimes luck
Make us all give a flying fuck
Breaking what we think we know
to places new and things unknown
To Silas, he was sitting bored
and just decided he was gonna change
And Perry he was 66
when he finally realized his age
For Donnie it was all too late
as he was diagnosed with cancer
And one day Abby lost her house
and her husband left her for a dancer
To take a chance, to break the trance
To feel the winds of change, and dance
Things unexpected, beautiful bold
Awakening to something both new and old
Silas and Perry, their lives became better
and Donnie and Abby all weathered the weather
Remembering the who, the what, where, the why
Awakening from nightmares to look at the sky
Knowing the weather as well as the stars
and not the ones from Hollywood who drive fancy cars
Silas and Perry, Donny and Abby, they all met one day.
Laughed at all their stories, found more alike than strange.
Realized they were neighbors for the first time in ten years
Funny, they said, we were all alone, and people were always right here.
Beautiful baby blue skies, and colorless cotton soft clouds
Living their lives like they've died, wondering what life's alla about

Nice poem man, although the drawings weren't quite as detailed as some of your other stuff it was stil very strong graphically and the images you chose were pretty bold, I really like the poem as well because aside from it having a pretty cool message philosophically, you also had very good tempo and meter to it which made it a lot of fun to hear. You really are extremely versatile as an artist. Great work here man, let me know when you release your future flashes as well.

That was good, man. Very good, in fact. Nice to see poetry on Newgrounds, and good work with the beat synching, you pulled it off like a pro. It reminds me of some of the crazy hip-hop poetry everyone's throwing about at open mic nights in my city. I hope you can work on more of these, you've already inspired me to start busting lyrics into my rubbish headset microphone to see what happens :D

Ok, enough waffling... The poem's nice, well timed, organic and beat laden if that makes any sense. The characters are easy to imagine and development is nicely enhanced by the animation. The artwork itself is not perfect but it didn't detract from the overall piece too much. In my mind, you've shown us further the versatility of Flash and may well inspire more people to explore this style.

Good on you, man, top work.

Some people like my work and some don't. I know I am not the best animator. Thanks for appreciating the work.
