Based on the song "bad attitude" by Lisa Germano.
It was hard for me to pick up on the theme of this cartoon. It seemed like it was mostly about a woman going through a bad relationship and wondering where she should go with it. This, however, does manage to be a great cartoon because of how utterly gorgeous its artwork is. I don't think anyone has made art as similar to watercolor as you have. When the woman was all dressed in red, she reminded me of Asuka from "Neon Genesis Evangelion". It manages to succeed at being deep.
I'm not sure if I have heard this song before, but it is a very good song. I noticed that it seems as though from now on, you use something different to put in the beginning of your cartoons. I think I like this better, even if it's the only time you used it. It's great just to see how the characters adjust their bodies in this. It's a mundane story that I bet many people can relate to.
Damn dude that is just an amazing flash. Deep, deep, deep. I cant critisize anything about this flash its just that good. Kudos to you. Early submissions to NG were so different to the crap submissions of today. This is one of the best. Three cheers to you. 4/5 and 9/10. Cheers, GJ.
Loved the retro loading screen, took me back a couple of years. Thought the opening choices were great, being able to choose the subtitles to be on or off is a big bonus for me and setting the quality level inside the flash is a long lost art. The music video itself was a good shock to be honest, i thought that the graphics weren't great but the style that you drew everything in was really interesting. The song was surprisingly a really good listen and set the stage for the flash. Overall i like a good serious/depressing flash every now and then, it keeps you in-check.
Well, I didn't really get anything out of it. Maybe it's because I'm a guy, maybe it's because that darker stuff doesn't really hook me. But whatever, I still felt like writing a review because I liked your style of graphics. It was kind of a "gouachy" feeling to it. And even though it was sort of different, I liked the smoke effect from the cigarette...when she takes a drag on the street.
The downside of it, (for me anyway) is that it was going too slow. But I'm guessing it's to fit the whole mood of it. When you animate something, don't be afraid to have things moving around you. Should it be a panning shot, or some newspapers on an old street. I know it takes a little longer, but it's usually worth it...keeps the eyes on the screen.
Anyway, good job overall.
well that nearly hurts after i watched it but u may make the graphics a little bit better but i did like it very well
i give it a 4
keep it up!!
