Based on an epic true story one day while playing Mario Kart DS with some friends. This was the last race out of the 4 online races you have every mini-tournament, and Age, Scotty and myself were just about drawing in points too! Immense amounts of laughter and re-telling of the close finish ensued so much that I finally went around animating it.

Everyone done their own voice acting, and ParagonX9's remix of Rainbow Road (Rainbow Destructor) seemed to fit well. Many thanks to her! Also, Age made the fantastic preloader.

Lee: Myself
Adrian: Agedrian
Scotty: Empty-Pen
Tyler: Eclipsed Reality

Hope you all enjoy!

Haha, I love Mario Kart

Reminds me of the old days with my pals on the 64. Great video, loved the slow motion part, I hated your accents and foreign slang though, haha.

Link3Kokiri responds:

There's Irish, English and American accents running through that. Variety is the spice of life, mah boi!

That happened to me once

Actually i think that's happened to everyone.
I always wanted to make a flash like this, well done!

that was...

okay, i gotta say, that was freaking epic

i know that feeling, you're just about to win when some dick hits you with a blue or a red shell and the second place guy wins, argh that really hurts.

really funny though

Link3Kokiri responds:

You feel like jumping out of teh kart and pushing it to make it recover faster when it happens

Ugh, Blue Shells.

I hate those so much :P I'm pretty sure in Grand Prix, the computer sends them, not the computer players, they are such a pain!

Good animation, the quality was alright, the voice acting was a little dull, and it could have used some more music, not just in-game.
Good job, I love Mario Kart, finally a video on it!

Link3Kokiri responds:

Indeed. The computer AI clearly likes to pick the perfect moment to materialise those blue buggers at just the right time. Makes one wonder when you look over the racer list and see everyone already has a different item and suddenly out of nowhere a blue shell shows up!

Damn Blue Shells

Ha this brings be back.
In my lectures for Structural Programming 8 members of my set would chill in the back row with our DS's playing this game.

Well done,
I enjoyed the style and how it didn't drag on.

Link3Kokiri responds:

I remember using my DS in class once. It was pictochat with a friend. He started sending obscenely funny shit though so it was a miracle my stifling laughter didn't get me busted.
