First things first, this isn't stolen, we built it for Playstation to promote Patapon 2.
Its a rhythm game where you control the Patapon tribe using "pata" or "pon".

As with our last game, its not meant to be a exact replica, just a flash minigame taster.
The instructions are in the game but its really no more complicated than hitting the left arrow key for "pata" and the right arrow key for "pon" in time to the music. The Patapon will tell you what combination does what and when you need to do it.

Oh and finally - there is no drum sound when you press the keys because Flash 10 still cannot respond with audio on a key press without serious lag (on PC - better on Mac). And those few nanoseconds of lag totally throws out your timing when playing this. So we left the drum beats off intentionally.

Love the Patapon

This game is a must have for all PSP owners i think. the original was better in my opinion (i hate the seperate hero feature on 2). and yeah the beat is hard to get at first but once you get the hang of it you'll love it.

the wallpaper feature is really cool too. this flash is not anywhere near as fun as the game but it was a very good representation. Patapon + PSP = good times. pon PON pata pon! go my cute little minions of destruction!!!

Unclear instructions, but good minigame/teaser

It was very unclear at first that I had to input the four-beat command, then WAIT four beats, then input the command again. I was trying to keep the beat, and was keeping the beat pretty well, so I didn't understand why nothing seemed to register. The character's commands each lasted less than a second because I was failing so badly.

However, once that was figured out, the game itself was quite enjoyable. Made me consider getting the full game.

Great game, highly creative and original, 'nuff said! Now let me go back to the drumming...
