For those of you who have never been, this is EXACTLY what going to therapy is like... every time.

UPDATE 3: Front page! Special thanks to the crew and everyone at NG.

UPDATE 2: Daily 3rd! Awesomeness. Thanks to everyone on NG.

UPDATE 1: The easteregg has been fixed... in the sense that I moved it to the credits page, so now you can find it there if you are looking.

Hey everyone, hope you enjoy our latest Sketched submission, a lot of hard work went into this one so let us know what you think.

p.s. Easter egg?! Yep! It's nothing really mind blowing, moreso a reason for me to practice some more of my action scripting, but its there none the less.

Till next time, Enjoy.

Sometimes a shrubbery is just a shrubbery.

Methinks the dude protests too much. XD.
Hi-friekin larious as always.
So I've deconstructed the humor spectrum of 'Sketched'
4 parts enunciation
2 parts searching for the right word/hesitancy in speaking
3 parts chunky drawings
2 parts lip synch
2 parts punny associations between art and dialogue (although not as much in this one!)
3 parts hilarious animation interlude

16 parts. I'm not sure what parts are, exactly, but I have a compulsion to add things up and 16 is a pretty damn good number anyway, as numbers go. Mmmmm, 16.....

16 parts is always better than 15 parts I always say... which really didn't make much sense up until now. Thanks for your review I'm glad you enjoyed the short.

OMG LOL

I have to say, that was a very entertaining, if almost nearly annoying, experience!

I honestly wanted to punch both the secretary and the therapist. But at the same time I wanted to laugh while doing it. Great job guys, keep the work up!

oi!

why why why dont ppls just kick the damm door down!?? no sence to misa yo

sirjeffofshort responds:

The main character actually has an extremely terrible confrontation complex as well as an irrational fear of splinters that keeps him from kicking down the door. It isn't addressed in the movie but we wrote it into his backstory... yeah... yeah that's what I'll tell people. haha.

Animations

You're videos are hilarious!! If you don't mind me asking how do you do your animations?

sirjeffofshort responds:

Thanks! Each cartoon has actually been animated a little bit differently. I mostly just opened up flash and started experimenting to be honest haha. For this one I built the characters bodies and hand gestures and then moved them around the stage, then I drew the arms frame by frame to make the characters more expressive, I've learned a lot since this cartoon so I don't think I would do it that way again, but it's still a style that works, at least in my opinion.

Pretty much, spot on!

This animation was really cool. This is what my therapist was like when i was a teen. They would ask you a question and then make an quess at your problem, then stick with that desision and keep telling you in till you get really angry with them. This works well if they say you have anger issues. By the end of the meeting you suddenly have what ever problem they give you.

sirjeffofshort responds:

Thanks man. I think most people who visit a therapist has had some sort of similar experience, even if it isn't an insistence on your being "gay" exactly. Not all of them are as full of it, but an amount are.
