This is my first flash ever ever >.< I've only just started using flash... I know it is really simple and it has no sound, but I love newgrounds and always wanted to contribute something. Hopefully I'll get better with time (:

Lots of empty space.
1. When you add a line to a character's face either keep their through out flash or go back.
2. You could have had a moon or trees in the background make it seem like their is more effort, it can really add to an animation.
3. Sound would be nice but your just starting out.

Not much here...
For a first movie, it's actually better than most. You have some talent. But first off, no sound. That kills the atmosphere. You should at least have appropriate music. Secondly, you did one angle, one view and didn't change anything. Even the characters stayed the same size, shape and position throughout the entire movie.
The walking animation seemed frame by frame, good work.
Even the smallest of stories have a beggining, middle and end. Even showing one second of the character with the key looking lonely or scared would have changed the entire story. Keep working. This will probably pass, but you can do MUCH better.
