Hey guys, here is our first chapter. We encourage you all to check out the map editor, it has over 40 triggers, and you can also upload your own textures, then even send a URL to friends to play the level. It can be found at mapeditor.fox-x.com. If you have any questions you can come talk to us on the forum.

Thugs are weaker or stronger versus either projectile or slash weapons, also, head shots on thugs do more damage.

Also, a full screen version of this game can be play at http://www.fox-x.com.

NOTE ON PERFORMANCE: I have set scrolling to be on, for lower end machines this might cause performance issues, just go into preferences, or hit escape while playing and turn scroll-lock: on. Also, turning the framerate down under preferences will help with performance as well.

"Great game."

date: March 9, 2009

When I reached the end I wanted to play more. I liked the fact that I was being shot at by snipers that I could not see. It took me awhile to figure out how to progress in the game as I kept being picked off by them. Sometimes the best weapon for me was just the sword.Run up slash them and keep on moving. Can't wait to see what is next for this company.

"Much Potential!"

That's a fine idea and overall well executed, it just seems to lack experience on gameplay basics.

Take a look over similar games of the professional industry, You can always learn something new.

I think if you stick a little more to the 'Stealth' type, you could have something very entertaining. Well let's say, having weapons to be more letal, hide-behind scenery objects combined with a fine raycasting for enemy AI, possibly a set of objectives to be completed over the course of the mission... these types of things are oftenly seen in this genre of games, and are very welcome.

Besides that, the coding and art could use some work.
Just keep improving over it and you'll have something great soon enough!
Good luck!

Author's Response:

It's interesting you bring up stealth, because I actually have a bunch of functionality that I built in that I didn't use for dawning, including thugs having sight cones, and alerting others, they actually alert others now, but their proximity is so large that most people won't notice.

"It made my computer get all freezy...."

date: February 28, 2009

That and it was buggy. I ran back into the garage to keep from getting killed, and then it took me a whole half an hour to get out because she kept hitting some invisible wall. Even then, the game kept skipping, which was annoying. Luckily, it's not too hard, as it's apparently immpossible to die if you don't fall off a building.

Author's Response:

I think I actually found the bug you are talking about, sorry about that, it is fixed.
