Edit: Thanks so much for Front Page Newgrounds!! This is the first time I've gotten front page completely solo ^_^

A mime sets out to do one last act.

This was a project I did for my animation class last semester (fall 2008). I used the program Autodesk Maya 2008.

I estimate I spent about 300 hours working on this project.

The total rendering time was approximately 200 hours.

It was good

The animation was stunning, with very smooth and well rendered 3-D graphics made it very pleasant to watch. My only minor problem was that it was quite short, but taking in consideration that you did this all by your self ( or did you ;) ) I have no reason to complain. Overall a very good animation with lenght issues, but I'll let that slip... 5/5

Thanks, and yes I did do this all by myself 100%.

The only single element I didn't do was the music.

This includes storyboarding/preproduction, modeling, UV mapping, texturing, shading, rigging, animating, lighting, rendering, compositing, and anything else I'm forgetting.

;P No i'm not one of those types of people to get help from others and not give them credit :)

instant 10

the problem with writing a review to this vid is the fact that it's so excellently done; can't find anything that needs improvement. so all i will say is: DON'T STOP MAKING THESE! THIS RULES! that about sums it up.

ps. really like the mime's excitement when he finds his sucide tool. it gives a nice tuch, especially how he slowly draws with his finger on top of the box. oh, and is this to long for a ps.? crap!

Beautiful music, perfect shading. Short enough to keep my attention. And completely worth my time. Well done.

Feels like a Pixar short film

It was just the right length with good background music to fit every part. The word from the title "final" in the sentence "The final act" really sticks in my mind. The animation was smooth, and it looked like a real mime performance.
