That Dam Game

Share Collapse

Author Comments

Use objects laying around to force a giant cork back into the dam protecting your village. Farmers, sheep, apples, anything goes.

This game was made as part of a competition where we'd build the winning idea. The chap who won was called Noah Wentworth.

It's kind of dumb at first but it's pretty fun once you figure it out. I like how it calls you the master of everything.

strategh

heavy stuff for 30, apples for 5. sheep for 13.

throwing stuff must be fun (?)

well is nice but repetitive
maybe make somthing like the catapult gets rusty so it needs more power to throw the object
that way you could not memorize the numbers , but still you know you got to put more power on it
or something ._.
maybe make the stuffs breaks ._.
still good game

Very addicting, once you get used to it

It's quite repetitive and tiresome, and you can literally play it forever if you got the patience and the skill for it. I don't think it should be called skill, since it's basically memorizing around at what power every item should be launched and keep running back and forth picking the items and throwing.
Apple: 5 power
Cucumber(?): 9 power
Pumpkin: 11 power
Sheep: 13 power
Goat: 13 power
Farmer's Daughter: 16 power
Farmer: 27 power
Mountaineer: 28 power
Cow: 29 power
Horse: 31 power
Boulder: 31 power

With those numbers in mind you can just run back and forth, fire away, keep the water flowing VERY slowly, and coupled with the powerful effect of the icecream, you could play literally forever. I myself played for around 2500 seconds (talk about not having anything better to do).

One little graphical problem I found was that once past around 800 seconds, the right side of the background would start turning black, due to the scrolling, which would eventually expose the end of the background image.
