Ignoring how this is simply the next step up from gradeschool tracing, this actually has a neat effect to it. Besides, if you are the one in the movie, then this is still all your own work, regardless the fact that you are tracing.
Perhaps, in the next one, you can recolor everything as well, just with base colors. Nothing needs to be the original color, just something interesting. Doing things this way, you could also do all of the moves in your bed room or basement and then draw in the background later, giving you whatever you wanted as a location.
