Edit: Wow, thanks for the front page everyone :)
The first of a 10 part series set to the music of RushJet1's E.P "Out There" which when completed will hopefully be a complete short film. Made entirely without the pixel tool, this is my first ever attempt at pixel animation. I never realised just how much of a time consuming process pixel animation was until i undertook this project. Tells the tale of Astro, a young squid summoned to war after a fellow squids ship crashes into a city, id leave a real commentary but id like the film to tell the story itself. More to come.

Very Interesting.
I liked it. Very much in fact. The first thing that caught my attention was when the animation of the "space ship" went from close-up to fading out of the screen. Animation was very smooth on that part. Another great thing about this flash video is the fact that it still maintained its "8-bit" feel with certain animation segments. Like how the characters were moving [along with the fluid movements]. The music was pretty good as well. Although, I thought the beginning of the song sounded kinda cheesy... but turned out to be a great song as it kept going. I also believe that dialogue isn't necessary for this. Definitely keep the series going. I'm looking forward to your future flash movies. :D
More people need to tell stories without dialogue, its a skill that seems to be going away sadly.

quick and simple:
I think people didn't like it much because it is hard to understand what's hapening when there is no dialogue, make the chars say something and it will get more interesting
I think you missed the point :(

Extremely cool!
I really like this animation. The 8-bit effect really makes it stand out, but the fact that you successfully conveyed perspective and facial expressions while limited to such basic tactics was great. I love it shows how the Red guy's face changes so smoothly, and how it zooms out to show the rocket at the end.
Cool story, smooth animation, and fitting music. Great job!
Doing alot of those scaling and perspective shots is a nightmare.
